The San Francisco 49ers have gotten off to a hot start to the 2026 NFL season, currently sitting at 6-0 following their recent home win over the Washington Commanders on Monday Night Football. The team's success has seemingly completely overshadowed the controversy surrounding owner Jed York, who was arrested this offseason for engaging in prostitution.
York has been suspended for the first chunk of the NFL season, but that suspension recently reached its conclusion, opening the door for York to participate in his normal duties as a league owner.
“#49ers owner Jed York, whose suspension has ended, is in attendance today here at the NFL meeting in Manhattan,” reported NFL insider Mike Garafolo of the NFL Network on X, formerly Twitter.
The NFL owners' meeting offers a chance for the league's top executives to review business strategy and make other key decisions for the future, and York will certainly be happy to be a part of it, even if he likely won't be too eager to show his face in public for the foreseeable future.

Quarterback Brock Purdy is looking like an early frontrunner for the NFL MVP award at this early stage of the season, and the team's defense has also not missed a beat despite the offseason departure of Robert Saleh.
In any case, the 49ers will next hit the field on Sunday afternoon for a road game against the Atlanta Falcons.
