Coach Kyle Shanahan, QB Brock Purdy and the San Francisco 49ers are coming off of a 10-point home win over the Denver Broncos that included a Kyle Jusczzyk “beer chug” celebration controversy. Beef between the 49ers' Deommodore Lenoir and Jaxon-Smith Njigba has made headlines along with the 49ers' injury situation.

ESPN's Adam Schefter gave updates on three of the team's biggest stars leading up to Week 5's game in Seattle against the Seahawks and it's a mixed bag.

“49ers ruled out FB Kyle Juszczyk and DE Nick Bosa for Sunday's game at Seattle,” Schefter said. “WR Mike Evans is off the injury report.”

Evans, 33, has been dealing with a rib injury but has fit in well with Purdy and the 49ers' passing game so far. Bosa has a left calf injury that has limited him in games and practices and does not have a sack so far this season. Juszczyk has knee injuries and a bone bruise.

The tough news on Bosa and Juszczyk was tempered with the Evans news, and news of defensive end Mykel Williams' return for Week 5's game.

Purdy and the 49ers will need as much help as possible in Seattle against a revitalized Sam Darnold and Mike Macdonald led Seahawks group. Purdy's recent heroics have been aided by big plays from Evans, George Kittle and others in pursuit of the NFC West lead, which the 49ers have secured with a 4-0 record.

Bosa hasn't been his usual self but works hard to get the most out of his injury-ravaged body. Juszczyk has been nothing short of a warrior during his time in the Bay Area. The 49ers know that both guys can help them win the division and more, but for now, they will play with who they've got against the defender Super Bowl champs.
