The Los Angeles Rams have been one of the biggest disappointments of the young 2026 NFL season, currently sitting at 2-4 following Sundy's ugly home loss to the Arizona Cardinals. Matthew Stafford and the offense weren't able to accomplish much of anything in that contest, and now, the Rams suddenly find themselves in borderline must-win territory at this early point of the season.

Recently, Pro Football Talk reported on X, formerly Twitter, that “Matthew Stafford has a career record of 122-122-1 as a starting quarterback. With his next loss, he'll tie Vinny Testaverde for the most QB losses in NFL history.”

That's certainly music to the ears of the divisional rival San Francisco 49ers, whose beat writer, David Lombardi of The San Francisco Standard, weighed in on the upcoming record with a viral GIF of Phoenix Suns forward Dillon Brooks.

The 49ers, on the other hand, haven't been doing any losing so far this season, sitting with a perfect record of 6-0 after Monday night's close home win over the Washington Commanders.

The Rams have been a disaster, with Myles Garrett only having appeared in one game so far due to an injury, and the team recently learning that star wide receiver Davante Smith would also be going down for an extended period with an ailment of his own.

It's still fully possible that the Rams start to regroup as they get healthier and ultimately make a run up the standings and into the playoffs, with many projecting them as Super Bowl favorites coming into the year.

However, things certainly aren't looking great at the present moment.
