The Milwaukee Brewers became World Series champions for the first time in their franchise's history on Wednesday night. Milwaukee had previously reached the Fall Classic just once, as the ball club was defeated by the St. Louis Cardinals back in 1982. This year, the Brewers were able to get the job done against the Tampa Bay Rays in five games.

Milwaukee would like to make a habit out of winning championships, though. How can the Brewers continue to find success for years to come?

Without further ado, here are three pressing questions facing the Brewers following their historic World Series victory.

Free agents, trades?

Milwaukee has decisions to make on free agents. The Brewers also have some contract options to monitor. For example, William Contreras' club contract option will surely be picked up. Could Milwaukee consider trading the World Series MVP since 2027 will be his final season of his current deal, though?

Dustin May and Antonio Senzatela also have contract options. Meanwhile, Brandon Woodruff, Jake Bauers, JoJo Romero and Gary Sanchez will all enter MLB free agency.

One has to imagine the Brewers would love to re-sign Bauers. It may not happen, though. The small-market Brewers rarely spend big in free agency and Bauers is coming off of a season that saw him hit 26 home runs while recording an .874 OPS. The 31-year-old is destined to land a big deal.

So, which free agents will they re-sign? They'd surely be open to a Woodruff reunion if he wants it to happen. He's the longest tenured Brewer and Milwaukee knows what he means to the clubhouse.

From a trade standpoint, Milwaukee realistically doesn't need to make any drastic moves. They have traded stars in the past despite continuing to contend, so Contreras will be a player worth monitoring in that regard. Given his all-around impact on the pitching staff and the lineup, however, I'd be surprised to see Contreras end up getting traded this offseason.

How to build potential dynasty?

How can you build a dynasty? That's the next question the Brewers need to ask themselves.

Winning one World Series is great. It's even better when you hadn't accomplished the feat before. This team's championship window is going to be open for years to come, though. You don't want to squander an opportunity to build a legitimate dynasty.

Many of the core players are under contract for multiple seasons. That's why Milwaukee doesn't necessarily need to bring in many superstars. The Brewers should instead look to make additions that complement their current roster.

Perhaps adding another veteran starter to the rotation could make sense. Acquiring another utility player for depth purposes would only help the team. Making the overall roster as strong as possible around the core of stars should be this team's offseason goal.

Contract extensions?

The Brewers agreed to a contract extension with infielder Cooper Pratt before he even debuted in the big leagues. Given his ceiling, the deal — which was worth over $50 million across eight seasons — seems rather team friendly. It not only bought out his arbitration years, but it gave the Brewers a couple of additional years of team control.

Team-friendly long term deals are worth pursuing early in players' careers. Also, they aren't necessarily rip-offs for the players either, as it gives them a nice safety net in case of injury or future underperformance.

Building a dynasty means locking in your best players for years to come if possible. This offseason could see Milwaukee pursue contract extensions with multiple players.
