As we near the halfway point of both the college and pro football seasons, the 2027 NFL Draft is starting to take shape. We are identifying which prospects deserve to have their names called in Round 1 and where NFL teams need to improve their rosters for next season. So, with more information on the table (and still a lot to come), let's take a look at the next ClutchPoints' 2027 NFL Mock Draft.

Previous mocks: Week 0 | Week 4

For the draft order, we are using Tankathon's 2027 NFL Draft order prediction model.

1. Los Angeles Chargers: WR Jeremiah Smith, Ohio State

Last pick: EDGE Colin Simmons, Texas

The Chargers are having an absolutely brutal season, but the one silver lining is that they should get a blue-chip player out of it in the 2027 NFL Draft. As the last winless team, if they do have the No. 1 overall pick, Ohio State wide receiver Jeremiah Smith is a no-brainer. He is the most talented player in this class, and he fits a need for LA, which absolutely must give Justin Herbert more weapons.

2. Tennessee Titans: EDGE Colin Simmons, Texas

Last pick: WR Jeremiah Smith, Ohio State

Cam Ward should have at least one more season, so the Titans can take the best player available here. They would love to get Smith for their young quarterback, but in lieu of that, they will take the next-best player available. That is Texas edge rusher Colin Simmons, who looks like a ready-made NFL EDGE in terms of talent, upside, and production.

3. Miami Dolphins: QB Darian Mensah, Miami

Last pick: QB Arch Manning, Texas

There will be a lot of debate on who the best QB in this class is, but you’ll hear the right answer here first. In this 2027 NFL Mock Draft, we have Darian Mensah staying in the same stadium he currently plays in and ending up with the Dolphins. Mensah has everything you want in a pro signal-caller, and with a huge game against Notre Dame coming up and the playoffs to follow, fans will get to see how good he is in winning time, too.

4. Washington Commanders: WR Cam Coleman, Texas

Last pick: EDGE Dylan Stewart, South Carolina

The No. 2 wide receiver in this draft is an interesting conversation, and probably will be until the combine. The Commanders need more weapons for Jayden Daniels, so a pass-catcher makes a lot of sense here. Despite struggling at times in that messy Texas situation, Cam Coleman is still second on our board. His size (6-foot-3, 203 pounds) and incredible athleticism will be too much for NFL teams to pass up.

5. Houston Texans: OT Jordan Seaton, LSU

Last pick: WR Cam Coleman, Texas

Texas OT Tyler Goosby was our OL1 in the last 2027 NFL Mock Draft, but his knee injury puts that in flux. So, for now, we move to Jordan Seaton, who has been the top left tackle prospect for basically his entire life. He’s looked good moving from Colorado to LSU, and the Texans could use a cornerstone lineman whom they can plug in and not have to worry about each offseason.

6. Philadelphia Eagles: EDGE Dylan Stewart, South Carolina

Last pick: OT Trevor Lauck, Iowa

This is such a Howie Roseman/Eagles pick that it’s not even funny. Dylan Stewart is a tremendous EDGE prospect, but he is also a horrific decision-maker off the field. From a talent perspective, he could be the third-best player in this draft. He will fall, though, after his suspension, and the Eagles will be there to scoop him up, ala Jalen Carter in the 2023 draft.

7. New York Jets (via Colts): CB Leonard Moore, Notre Dame

Last pick: DT Will Echoles, Ole Miss

Having three first-round picks in the 2027 NFL Draft puts the Jets in an incredible position. They can package picks to move up to get almost any player they want, or they can sit where they are and pick the best value on the board. With the way this 2027 NFL Mock Draft falls, New York can grab an elite cornerback and arguably the second or third-best overall player in this class at No. 7.

8. Arizona Cardinals: QB Drew Mestemaker, Oklahoma State

Last pick: QB Darian Mensah, Miami

The Cardinals need a QB to build around, and Drew Mestemaker is showing that he can flourish while stepping up in competition. His move from North Texas to Oklahoma State is going well, so it stands to reason that a jump from the Big 12 to the NFL is also something he can handle. Mestemaker has the tools to do it and can finally bring some hope to the desert.

9. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: CB Ellis Robinson IV, Georgia

Last pick: QB Drew Mestemaker, Oklahoma State

In our last 2027 NFL Mock Draft, we had the Buccaneers taking a quarterback as the long-term heir to Baker Mayfield. Now that Jalon Daniels has stepped in and looked like the QB of the future, the Bucs can look elsewhere in Round 1 next year. In Ellis Robinson IV, Tampa Bay would get a smart, physical CB who can cover and brings an attitude to run defense and his game in general that is needed on this D.

10. New York Jets: QB Arch Manning, Texas

Last pick: QB Trinidad Chambliss, Ole Miss

We finally get to Arch Manning, as the presumed No. 1 overall pick is falling down draft boards. There is a real chance he stays in college and transfers, but no matter what happens the rest of the college football season, Manning will still be a top-10 pick because of his skillset and his last name.

This is another spot where the Jets will happily stay put and take the best (or at least the most intriguing) player available. Manning may take a few years to develop, but the Jets are one of the franchises that can afford to wait. And if Manning lives up to his pedigree, the prospect of a Manning QB on the green side of New York for the next decade-plus is too good to pass up.

11. New Orleans Saints: DT Will Echoles, Ole Miss

Last pick: CB Ellis Robinson IV, Georgia

The Saints have struggled mightily against the run in 2026. Their 976 yards allowed through seven games is the third-worst mark in the league. Ole Miss defensive tackle Will Echoles would be a huge help in that area. He already looks like a solid NFL run defender, and if that is all you get, it’s a good selection. However, he is strong and quick with pass-rushing upside as well, so if he exceeds his high floor, he could be a star.

12. New York Jets (via Cowboys): WR Charlie Becker, Indiana

Last pick: S KJ Bolden, Georgia

With Arch Manning now hypothetically in the mix, the Jets can help their new QB out with a high-end WR in Charlie Becker. The Indiana pass-catcher has it all, with prototypical big WR size (6-foot-4, 208 pounds) and speed to burn. Whether this pick helps complement Garrett Wilson or replaces him, Becker is going to be a good player at the next level.

13. Las Vegas Raiders: WR Nick Marsh, Indiana

Last pick: DL David Stone, Oklahoma

Just like Becker would help Manning out, Becker’s IU teammate, Nick Marsh, would be of major assistance to Fernando Mendoza. The Hoosier QB and wideout never played together in Bloomington (March transferred in this season from Michigan State), but Mendoza will get the scouting report from Curt Cignetti and like what he hears. Marsh is a strong, physical pass-catcher who will be able to become a primary target at the next level.

14. Cleveland Browns (via Rams): QB Trinidad Chambliss, Ole Miss

Last pick: DT Justin Scott, Miami

Trinidad Chambliss is one of the more polarizing prospects in the 2027 NFL Draft and will likely become even more so after he is officially measured at the combine (is he really 6 feet?) The Ole Miss signal-caller can ball, though, and with all the pieces already in place for the Browns, plugging in an older, smart, competent QB makes a lot of sense.

15. Atlanta Falcons: OT Zereoue Williams, Utah

Last pick: OT Trevor Goosby, Texas

Zereoue Williams is one of the biggest risers of the 2027 NFL Draft class right now. The 6-foot-8, 305-pound tackle is raw, as he only played basketball from 7th to 11th grade. However, he found his way back to football and now looks like a potentially dominant OT. With Goosby’s knee injury, Williams will hop over him in the pecking order and help the Falcons start to rebuild their aging offensive line.

16. Baltimore Ravens: TE Trey'Dez Green, LSU

Last pick: LB Sammy Brown, Clemson

This may be higher than you find the LSU tight end in most 2027 NFL Mock Drafts, but this is an unabashedly pro-Trey’Dez Green space. The 6-foot-8, basketball-playing pass catcher is as unique a weapon as we’ve seen in recent years, and the team that drafts him will immediately have a matchup nightmare. For Lamar Jackson and Ravens fans, that should sound like a perfect way to replace Mark Andrews.

17. Seattle Seahawks: WR KJ Duff, Rutgers

Last pick: EDGE Yhonzae Pierre, Alabama

No wide receiver in the NFL is more relied on than Jaxson Smith-Njigba. The Seahawks need to find him a running-mate, because he can’t continue to carry the passing game all by himself. The 6-foot-6 KJ Duffy is an interesting player here, because the big target is so different than JSN that he just might be the perfect No. 2 in Seattle.

18. New England Patriots: CB Ashton Hampton, Clemson

Last pick: OT Jordan Seaton, LSU

After Christian Gonzalez, the Patriots’ secondary gets rough, fast. If Mike Vrabel could get another cover-man to match up with receivers while the Pats’ burgeoning pass-rush goes to work, this defense could get exponentially better. With the emergence of Caleb Lomu, the O-line is less of an issue, so a big, physical CB like Ashton Hampton would make a lot of sense.

19. Carolina Panthers: TE Jamari Johnson, Oregon

Last pick: TE Trey'Dez Green, LSU

The Panthers offense is looking better and better this season, and if offensive linemen keep going down, that could become a bigger concern. For now, though, Carolina can complement its WR basketball team with a strong, versatile, dynamic tight end in Jamari Johnson. Dave Canales will be able to line Johnson up all over the formation and make his offense even tougher to defend, which could push the unit and Bryce Young to the next level.

20. Dallas Cowboys (via Packers): DT Xavier Gilliam, Tennessee

Last pick: CB Ashton Hampton, Clemson

Xavier Gilliam is one of the players who hasn’t been in the last few versions of the ClutchPoints’ 2027 NFL Mock Draft, but he has played his way into the first round of this and many other mock drafts. Slightly undersized at 6-foot-2, 305 pounds, Gilliam has explosive quickness and can knife through the line to disrupt the pass and the run. On a Cowboys’ defense that just needs playmakers, Gilliam can be one at the next level.

21. New York Giants: OT Trevor Goosby, Texas

Last pick: CB Leonard Moore, Notre Dame

Giants fans won’t complain, but they’ve killed their draft pick by winning so many games this year. That’s a problem John Harbaugh is willing to live with, but a leaky offensive line is not. Getting a top-10 talent like Trevor Goosby makes sense here, as he can start his career as a swing tackle or even guard while also being the long-term replacement for Jermaine Eluemunor or even Andrew Thomas if the latter continues to struggle with injuries.

22. Jacksonville Jaguars: RB Jadan Baugh, Florida

Last pick: RB Jadan Baugh, Florida

This is the one pick that stayed consistent through the last two ClutchPoint 2027 NFL Mock Drafts. The Jaguars need a bell cow running back, and Jadan Baugh is the best RB available. He is big, physical, fast, and can catch the ball a bit as well. The Jags should have a good look at him playing just down the road, so this makes a ton of sense.

23. Cincinnati Bengals: LB Chris Cole, Georgia

Last pick: CB Kelley Jones, Mississippi State

The Bengals’ defense is much improved this season, but not totally fixed. Adding a dynamic sideline-to-sideline off-ball linebacker would help the unit take the next step, and Chris Cole is that guy. He can do it all and is a fantastic example of what a modern NFL off-ball LB should be.

24. Pittsburgh Steelers: OG Greg Johnson, Minnesota

Article Continues Below

Last pick: WR Charlie Becker, Indiana

With several candidates to replace Aaron Rodgers already in the building, the Steelers should continue to shore up their offensive line. They need an answer at right guard, and Greg Johnson has made his claim as the best interior O-lineman of this draft class. The Golden Gophers guard is big (6-foot-6, 325 pounds) and versatile, so he will find a starting spot on the Steelers’ line one way or another.

25. Detroit Lions: CB Kelley Jones, Mississippi State

Last pick: OG Kade Pieper, Iowa

It’s no secret that the Lions' secondary is an issue this season, especially after the unexpected loss of Terrion Arnold. To replace Arnold, Kelley Jones would fit in nicely. He has elite size at 6-foot-4 and could help shut down many of the big, physical receivers in the NFL. This is a perfect match for player and team, based on need, so the Lions would run this one to the draft stage.

26. Cleveland Browns: EDGE Yhonzae Pierre, Alabama

Last pick: QB Dante Moore, Oregon

With their second pick in the first round, the Browns could focus on defense and bulk up their pass rush. Getting another EDGE to play opposite Jared Verse would improve on a strength, and Yhonzae Pierre would fit in that role well. His physical ability and production are both coming along nicely to make him an intriguing D-line prospect.

27. Denver Broncos: EDGE Boubacar Traore, Notre Dame

Last pick: TE Jamari Johnson, Oregon

Jonathan Cooper’s future is up in the air right now, so the Broncos should look to add another pass rusher in the 2027 NFL Draft. Anyone who has watched a Notre Dame game this year can see that Boubacar Traore stands out as an all-around difference-maker, and that fact was proven even more when they lost him during the BYU upset.

28. Chicago Bears: DT Justin Scott, Miami

Last pick: DL A'Mauri Washington, Oregon

Chicago needs to beef up its defensive front, and the good news is, there should be several intriguing defensive linemen available late in Round 1. Justin Scott is the pick here over A'Mauri Washington, David Stone, and Scott’s Miami teammate, Ahmad Moten. His quickness and ability to get into the backfield right now, but he's just a tick ahead of those others, making him a nice fit for what the Bears are trying to do on defense.

29. Buffalo Bills: S KJ Bolden, Georgia

Last pick: EDGE Matayo Uiagalelei, Oregon

The Bills’ secondary is a mess right now, and Chauncey Gardner-Johnson has solidified his situation as a one-year player in Buffalo. The Bills need DB help, be it at corner or safety. In KJ Bolden, the Bills would get an excellent deep safety who also has some formational versatility. He would be a perfect partner for Cole Bishop and immediately upgrade the back end of the Bills' D.

30. San Francisco 49ers: DL David Stone, Oklahoma

Last pick: WR Nick Marsh, Indiana

The 49ers’ defense is getting older, and they can use some youth on the defensive line. David Stone can provide that and much more, as the Oklahoma DT is a special player who just needs to put it all together to be great. At 6-foot-3, 315 pounds, he has all the athletic ability necessary to dominate. He just needs to be more consistent and get his technique down.

31. Kansas City Chiefs: WR Deuce Alexander, Ole Miss

Last pick: WR Ryan Coleman-Williams, Alabama

We’ll see what the Chiefs do at the NFL trade deadline, but they will likely need a wide receiver in the 2027 NFL Draft no matter what. Deuce Alexander is an all-around wideout who will remind some of Rashee Rice. If he can be that player but without the off-field baggage and injuries, KC will really have something.

32. Minnesota Vikings: QB Austin Simmons, Missouri

Last pick: QB CJ Carr, Notre Dame

This is a bit of a personal preference pick for the Vikings. We will see what happens with Kyler Murray as the season goes along, but Minnesota still needs a franchise QB, despite the gaudy 2026 record. Austin Simmons is a unique player and could become a star in the NFL. If you haven’t seen the big lefty play yet, check him out and see if you agree that he should be a first-round pick next year.
