Arsenal to face Paris Saint-Germain in Champions League final as Harry Kane equals stunning record
Paris Saint-Germain will face Arsenal in the Champions League final with the French giants holding Bayern Munich to a 1-1 draw.
The reigning European champions made it back-to-back finals with a 6-5 aggregate victory, as they followed up their first-leg thriller with a clinical performance at the Allianz Arena.

Heading into the second leg with a slender 5-4 lead, PSG immediately put daylight between themselves and Bayern when Ousmane Dembele struck after just three minutes.
The Ballon d’Or winner finished beautifully after Khvicha Kvaratskhelia drove into the box and cut back the ball back expertly for him to score.
Harry Kane equalised for Bayern deep into stoppage-time but Vincent Kompany’s men needed to win on the night to stay alive in the Champions League.
While this clash wasn’t the same breath-taking affair as last week, there was plenty of fine football on show as Bayern looked to overturn a two-goal deficit.
Penalty drama
There was drama in the 31st minute, when the German giants had a penalty claim to get them back into the tie.
With the ball inside the PSG box, Vitinha cleared the ball, only for it to hit teammate Joao Neves’ arm from close range.
Bayern’s players, including talisman Kane, immediately surrounded referee Joao Pinheiro as they protested for a spot-kick.
However, both the referee and VAR waived their calls, with the laws of the game actually dictating that a penalty should not be awarded under these circumstances.
According to the International Football Association Board (IFAB), if a player is hit on the hand or arm by a teammate’s shot or header, it is not handball, unless this results in a goal immediately afterwards, in which case the opposing team gets a direct free-kick.
With Bayern boss Kompany clearly unaware of the little-known rule, he appeared furious at the decision on the touchline.
And after PSG headed in at half-time with a 1-0 lead, it became increasingly difficult for Kane and Co. to get back into the tie, as the visitors restricted them to few chances in the second half.

If anything, the French side looked more likely to score after the break, with Manuel Neuer denying Kvaratskhelia and Desire Doue with fine saves.
Ultimately, Bayern’s stellar attack of Kane, Michael Olise and Luis Diaz looked nullified by a resolute display from Luis Enrique‘s side.
However, the Parisians had to survive a nervy final few moments late on, as Kane rifled home in the fifth minute of stoppage-time to make it 6-5 on aggregate and give Bayern a glimmer of hope.
The strike was Kane’s 55th goal this season, which has seen him equal Robert Lewandowski for most goals in a single campaign for a Bayern player in the 21st century.
Kane has three more matches to make the record his own with Bayern to face Wolfsburg and Koln in the Bundesliga and Stuttgart in the DFB-Pokal final.
Despite this, PSG were able to cling on and clinch a 6-5 aggregate victory and another European final.

This sparked wild celebrations from Enrique and his players at full-time, who will now face Arsenal in Budapest on Saturday May 30.
The Gunners stand between the French side and a second straight European crown, who reached their first Champions League final since 2006 with a 2-1 aggregate victory over Atletico Madrid.
