Alex Caruso gives Thunder 6-word Game 7 reality check

Alex Caruso had a clear response towards the upcoming stakes of Game 7 following the Oklahoma City Thunder’s Game 6 loss to the San Antonio Spurs on Thursday night.

Caruso is going through the ninth season of his NBA career, his second with the Thunder. He has played a pivotal role off the bench as a defensive-minded guard, helping Oklahoma City win the championship last year.

In their quest for a title repeat, the Thunder are at risk of seeing that goal be unsuccessful as they lost Game 6 and missed an opportunity to close out the Western Conference Finals series on the road. How Alex Caruso, Thunder played against Spurs

Alex Caruso and the Thunder know it’s win or go home ahead of Game 7 of the West Finals. Following their blowout loss to the Spurs in Game 6, they seek to bounce back in resounding fashion for the most important game of the season.

San Antonio controlled the momentum from start to finish. Even though Oklahoma City only trailed by seven points at halftime, they suffered a fatal blow after losing 32-13 in the third period. This allowed the Spurs to boast a huge lead for the rest of the game, ending any chance at a Thunder rally.

Five players scored in double-digits for Oklahoma City in the loss. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the team with 15 points, four assists and one rebounds. Jared McCain came next with 13 points and six assists, Cason Wallace had 11 points and three steals, while Chet Holmgren and Isaiah Hartenstein provided 10 points each.

The Thunder fight for the right to represent the West in the NBA Finals, hosting the Spurs in Game 7 on May 30 at 8 p.m. ET.
