A.J. Brown appears to make Jalen Hurts decision as Patriots trade saga drags on
The relationship between Jalen Hurts and A.J. Brown might be fractured beyond repair.
It comes after a report from TMZ revealed that the Philadelphia Eagles quarterback was not in attendance at Brown’s wedding over the weekend.

The Eagles receiver tied the knot with longtime partner Kelsey Riley in a luxury beachfront ceremony at Montage Laguna in California.
Brown also went all out with entertainment, bringing out Grammy Award-winning musician John Legend to perform.
From the photos released to TMZ, it appears no current Eagles players were in attendance, including Hurts, who is the godfather to his daughter Jersee.
Although whether he was even invited in the first place, though, remains to be seen.
However, former Birds wide receiver Darius Slay was seen in attendance – he was the only one.
Rumors of a breakdown in the relationship between ‘disrespected’ Hurts and Brown stem all the way back to their 40-22 win over the Kansas City Chiefs at Super Bowl LIX when the receiver claimed that as “two alphas“, they sometimes “bump heads.”
These claims only grew throughout the season when frustrations boiled over the lack of receptions Brown was getting as the Eagles offense, led by now-fired offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo, prioritized the run game spearheaded by Saquon Barkley.
Brown to the Patriots edging ever closer
Now, it looks as though Brown will be heading out of the City of Brotherly Love and headed Boston-bound to the New England Patriots.
Reports surfaced prior to the 2026 NFL Draft that the Eagles and Patriots were involved in conversations, but ultimately the consensus is that any potential trade would occur after June 1.
ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler has since provided an update, and suggests that talks perhaps have already progressed.

“My best guess is that they probably already agreed to something loosely,” Fowler said of Brown on Monday.
“They can always tweak that or rework it, but they’re probably getting a one. Maybe a future one, maybe it’s a 2028.
“I don’t think they’ll get more than that, I think that would be the max at this point. I’d be surprised.
“Philly once upon a time hoped for a one and a two. I just don’t see that happening. Maybe they can get creative and swap some mid-to-late round picks to sweeten it up.
“I haven’t heard anything as far as if there’s a veteran included. New England could part with one of their receivers, but I think Philly’s pretty set there.”
While Brown to the Patriots could still be very much on the cards, news on that front have been particularly quiet as New England continue to deal with the fall out over the scandal involving their head coach Mike Vrabel and his relationship with former reporter of The Athletic, Dianna Russini.
Of course, any deal between the Eagles and Patriots could yet be contingent on whether Vrabel will remain in charge of the team, considering his prior relationship of having worked with the disgruntled wide receiver when the pair were at the Tennessee Titans.
