$21.3bn Rams owner becomes America’s biggest private landowner amid Super Bowl LX pursuit
Stan Kroenke already has plenty to celebrate going into Sunday’s showdown with the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field.
The Los Angeles Rams owner won the Super Bowl at SoFi Stadium in 2022 after overseeing the construction of the world’s most expensive arena at a massive cost of $5.5 billion.

He is looking to do it all over again and is two games from Super Bowl LX, which fans can watch here.
Worth $21.3 billion per Forbes, Kroenke has plenty of money to spread about and has a passion for buying huge tracts of land.
The Colorado real-estate magnate — once dubbed ‘Silent Stan’ — prefers to let his bank balance do the talking and has jumped from No. 4 in 2025 to the top of the rankings, according to The Land Report.
Kroenke reportedly owns 2.7 million acres — that is enough to build 2 million football fields.
In December, he purchased 937,000 acres of ranchland from the Singleton family in the largest such sale for over a decade in the U.S.
The mogul has joined an increasing trend of billionaires buying farmland — seen as a safe asset in turbulent times.
“If you believe you want diversification, and you also believe we’re going to have underlying inflation—which is what a lot of people want right now—then farmland is a great option for them,” Steve Bruere, president of agricultural real estate firm Peoples Company, told Fortune.
“Getting your hands on some farmland where the number of arable acres in the world declines every year, that’s why a lot of people like it,” he added.
Kroenke will no doubt be looking to maintain his status as top dog, but for now football is his main priority.
The Rams have become the NFL‘s second most valuable franchise at $10.43 billion since their return to Los Angeles.

Only Jerry Jones‘ Dallas Cowboys have a higher valuation ($12.8 billion).
With Matthew Stafford under center, and Sean McVay at head coach, the pieces are in place to add a second ring in four years.
What does Stan Kroenke own?
Kroenke also owns the NBA‘s Denver Nuggets, NHL’s Colorado Avalanche, MLS’ Colorado Rapids, NLL’s Colorado Mammoth, Arsenal Football Club, and Arsenal Women’s Football Club.
McVay thinks the huge empire provides the teams with a competitive advantage.
“It’s special because I think there’s an understanding of a willingness to share,” he said in 2025. “There are so many things that are similar and in alignment even if it might be different arenas or different sports, but leadership, trying to get everybody on the same page.
“What are the things that you want to commit to with your values and principles?

Kroenke married Walmart heiress Ann Walton Kroenke in 1974.
Her family are also in the football business with the Denver Broncos and are the NFL’s richest owners with a $122.9 billion fortune.
The Broncos beat the Buffalo Bills to become the first team to make the AFC Championship Game and are currently working on the league’s second-most-expensive stadium.
With triumph over the Bears, Kroenke’s Rams will be in the NFC Championship Game and one win away from setting up a potential clash with his wife’s family in San Francisco.
