WWE’s Becky Lynch isn’t falling for AJ Lee’s ‘flattery’ in candid IG post

After she shattered kayfabe with her seeming farewell post, WWE Superstar Becky Lynch is trying to restore it by responding to AJ Lee’s viral Instagram post.

Lynch commented on Lee’s post, saying, “Flattery will get you everything except an intercontinental title rematch,” which was seemingly written in character.

This was in response to Lee’s lengthy post. She posted a carousel of images from her last WWE stint. The first slide was a picture of Lee and Lynch, who were heated on-screen rivals, smiling. Lee also thanked Lynch for her work during their feud, addressing her by her real name, Rebecca.

“Rebecca, you’re selfless, hilarious, and pure joy to spar with. Thank you for keeping me safe and making me better,” Lee praised in her post.

Becky Lynch and AJ Lee’s WWE feud

Lynch and Lee have been feuding ever since the latter made their return to WWE in September 2025. Lee’s first match in a decade was a mixed tag team match.

She teamed up with her husband, CM Punk, to face another husband-wife duo of Seth Rollins and Lynch at Wrestlepalooza. Lee and Punk won, but this wouldn’t be their only encounter.

Two months later, Lee was part of the babyface team at Survivor Series: WarGames. She made Lynch tap out in the namesake match.

At the Elimination Chamber PLE on Feb. 28, 2026, Lee made another return to the company. She defeated Lynch to win the Women’s Intercontinental Championship.

During her reign, Lee successfully defended the title once against Bayley. This was her only singles match that wasn’t against Lynch during her latest WWE run.

Then, at WrestleMania 42, they had the rubber match of their feud. This time, Lynch was able to exercise her demons and defeat Lee in defiant fashion. It’s unknown where this reign will go, but her feud against Lee appears to be done.
