WWE forced into immediate script change as star suffers brutal injury live on air

WWE’s Elimination Chamber plans have been thrown into chaos after a major star suffered a legitimate injury on this week’s Raw.

Saturday night’s event will see Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton, LA Knight, Je’Von Evans, Trick Williams and Jey Uso meet inside the unforgiving structure.

The winner will head to WrestleMania 42 for an Undisputed WWE Championship match against title holder Drew McIntyre.

McIntyre will no doubt be watching closely as his opponent is determined at the United Center in Chicago — and so too will another man who was initially expected to be involved in the match.

WWE calls audible as star suffers serious injury on Raw

On this week’s edition of Raw, Uso, El Grande Americano and Bronson Reed competed for the final spot in the Elimination Chamber match.

But things didn’t go to plan and as the action unfolded in the ring, Reed suffered a serious injury.

The Australian dived in to break up a pin attempt, and as he rolled away, immediately got to a knee to inspect his arm.

He then rolled out of the squared circle, where an official was seen checking on him.

Reed didn’t return to the match and according to reports, an ‘X’ was flashed to backstage, which signals a legitimate injury.

Announcer Michael Cole later revealed on commentary that the heavy hitter had suffered a distal biceps tear.

He has been ruled out indefinitely, and will almost certainly miss WrestleMania in April.

To add insult to injury, it was later revealed that Reed was supposed to win Monday’s qualification match.

“Hope Bronson Reed is OK. He was the planned winner of that match,” insider X account WrestleVotes posted.

As he was unable to finish, WWE was forced to call an audible on the outcome.

What was initially a triple threat match became a singles’ bout between Americano and Uso, with the two left to figure out a new finish on the fly.

That ending came quickly, when the latter connected with a devastating spear, before climbing the ropes to hit an Uso Splash for the pin.

Uso will move on to this weekend’s Elimination Chamber match, and will now have a shot at another WrestleMania title bout.

Bronson Reed injury latest setback for top WWE stable

But while ‘Main Event Jey’ has hopes of performing on the Grandest Stage of them All, Reed is set for a tough road to recovery.

He missed WrestleMania in 2025, with a foot injury suffered five months before at Survivor Series, and his biceps tear is another setback for both him and ‘The Vision’ stable.

Last August, Reed aligned with Seth Rollins, Bron Breakker and Paul Heyman in the villainous group.

But in the months that followed, leader Rollins was attacked and kicked out by Breakker, as a means to write him off TV after he suffered a serious shoulder injury at Crown Jewel.

Breakker himself has also been sidelined since the Royal Rumble, and recently underwent emergency surgery for a ‘serious hernia.’

The pair are said to be aggressively rehabbing to return to action as soon as possible, but it remains unclear if they will make it back for an ever-evolving WrestleMania 42 event.
