WSL star Missy Bo Kearns announces she has lost baby in emotional statement
Aston Villa star Missy Bo Kearns announced the heartbreaking news she lost her baby during pregnancy.
The devastating revelation comes just weeks after Kearns and her partner, Luton Town midfielder Liam Walsh, first shared news she was pregnant on Instagram on March 2.

Kearns issues devastating update
“With very heavy hearts, we want to share that we’ve lost our baby during pregnancy,” Kearns said on her Instagram story.
“The past weeks have been filled with a kind of sadness that’s hard to explain, and we’re still trying to come to terms with it all.
“Right now, we’re focusing on recovering and supporting each other through this.
“We truly appreciate the love and support around us more than we can say.”
Clubs and teammates react to the news
Several clubs and players expressed their condolences over social media.
Villa said: “We are sending all our love and support to Missy Bo and Liam at this difficult time.”
Kearns’ Villa teammate and captain Rachel Daly added: “Love you @missybokearns.”
Luton wrote on X: “We send all our love and support to Liam, Missy Bo, and their families at this deeply sad time.”
Liverpool, who Kearns played for before joining Villa in August 2024, wrote: “Everyone at Liverpool Football Club sends their love and support to Missy Bo, Liam and their families at such a difficult time.”
Kearns has made 11 appearances in the Women’s Super League (WSL) for Villa in the 2025/26 season, eight of which have been starts.

The 24-year-old is yet to score in league action but registered one assist during a 6-1 loss to Manchester City last December.
Kearns’ last league appearance for Villa came on January 11, when they beat Brighton 2-1.
How has Aston Villa performed in the 25/26 WSL season?
It hasn’t been the ideal WSL campaign for the West Midlands outfit, as they sit ninth in the 12-team competition.
A 4-3 loss to Chelsea on Sunday was the ninth in the league for Natalia Arroyo’s side from 19 games to leave them on 20 points.
However, with three games remaining, Villa are well clear of the relegation play-off as Leicester City sit at the foot of the table with nine points.
Villa are next in action on April 26 when they host third-placed Arsenal.
