World Darts Championship betting tips: Ally Pally picks for Semi-finals and final
Luke Litter has eyes on a second PDC World Championship crown and the Nuke is just 1/12 to see off semi-final rival Ryan Searle and 1/2 to collect the Sid Waddell trophy.
Gian van Veen meets Gary Anderson in the second of Friday’s last-four clashes and the Dutchman has to be a serious contender.
The Giant dominated former world champion Luke Humphries to seal a 5-1 quarter-final victory on New Year’s Day and GVV could prove the danger to Littler.

World Darts Championship betting tips
Tip 1 – Standout Bet of the Day – Gian van Veen to win the World Championship @ 10/3
Van Veen has beaten Cristo Reyes, Alan Soutar, Madars Razma, Charlie Manby and Humphries on his way to the last four of the World Championship.
The 5-1 success over Cool Hand is the clear pick of that form, but beyond names, it’s the performances of the Giant which have stood tall.
The Dutchman has averaged 98.91,108.28, 97.91, 98.48 and 105.41 in his five matches at Alexandra Palace and the European champion has been the constantly most impressive performer on the Ally Pally stage.
Van Veen’s 105.41 average against Humphries last time out was maintained over six sets, under maximum pressure against a top-level opponent.
The Dutchman’s World Championship winning credentials are clear and an outright play makes sense on the maths too.
Van Veen is 1/2 to beat semi-final opponent Gary Anderson and he would most likely be around a 6/4 chance should the Giant meet Luke Littler in the final.
The 10/3 on offer about the 23-year-old winning the World Championship looks a little too big.
Tip 2 – Possible Surprise – Ryan Searle +3.5 sets @ Evs
It’s imaginative to think Searle can beat Littler over the first-to-six set World Championship semi-final format, but it’s not fanciful to think that Heavy Metal can keep tabs on the Nuke.
The Tiverton man was up at 56.67 per cent on his doubles when beating Jonny Clayton 5-1 in the quarter-finals and a repeat of those finishing efforts can see Searle competitive.
Heavy Metal put up numbers of 100.57 and 102.29 when cruising past James Hurrell and Martin Schindler 4-0 and that level of performance would also give the 38-year-old a squeak.
Of course, Littler has the ability to blow any opponent away, but the Nuke gave Krzysztof Ratajski 22 shots a double in their quarter-final clash and that suggests that there could be opportunities for Searle.
The handicap has been set at 3.5, meaning anything better than a 6-2 loss for Searle would see bets cop and that rates a good trade.
Tip 3 – Stats Tip – Over 8.5 Ryan Searle 180s @ 4/6
If Searle is to be a little more competitive than the market anticipates then a bet on over 8.5 Heavy Metal 180s can be considered.
The Tiverton man has hit only 18 maximums across his five matches at the World Championship, but four of those have been won in straight sets, meaning there haven’t been too many opportunities for Searle to strike.
The semi-final is certain to go at least six sets and that should give Heavy Metal a chance to make his mark.
