World Cup Golden Boot outright betting tips: Three picks including 50/1 superstar

The ongoing international break is giving fans a taste of what is it come at the World Cup this summer and it is just over two months before a ball will be kicked at the iconic event.

A whopping 48 teams will compete in the USA, Mexico and Canada for five weeks and it is Spain that are the 4/1 favourites to win the tournament.

Plenty of their rivals will expect to be competitive, but to do that, they will need to rely on their attacking players to do the business.

Some of the world’s best strikers have won the Golden Boot in the past and there’s some good value to be had ahead of this year’s tournament.

Lautaro Martinez to win the Golden Boot @ 33/1

There is no denying the talent that Harry Kane, Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland have, but the Frenchman and Manchester City’s Norwegian ace have been drawn in the same group.

There’s plenty of value elsewhere in the betting and Inter Milan’s Lautaro Martinez looks to have a superb chance of winning the award.

While he has recently been sidelined with a muscle injury, he is due to return after the international break and the recent rest may have done him the world of good.

Martinez has scored 18 goals in 35 appearances for Inter this season and he netted four times to help Argentina qualify for the World Cup.

The Albiceleste have been handed an easy group against Algeria, Austria and Jordan and Martinez could rack up the goals before the reigning champions enter the knockout stages.

Lamine Yamal to win the Golden Boot @ 10/1

Spain’s toughest opponent in Group H is Uruguay, but after that, they face Cape Verde and Saudi Arabia. La Roja could run riot against the pair and that should give Lamine Yamal the chance to rack up the goals.

The youngster has 21 goals to his name in 40 appearances for Barcelona and he proved at Euro 2024 just how dangerous he can be in the final third.

Yamal is now more mature as a player and he has every chance of competing for the individual award.

Raphinha to win the Golden Boot @ 50/1

Carlo Ancelotti’s Brazil did not impress during qualifying, but they are still on their way to this summer’s tournament. Brazil have been given a favourable group against Morocco, Haiti and Scotland and any one of their forwards could cash in.

Barcelona’s Raphinha looks overpriced in the market at 50/1, especially considering his recent scoring exploits at club level.

The former Leeds United ace has 19 goals to his name this season and he scored five in qualifying, the most of any Brazil player.

Raphinha is likely to be one of the first names on Ancelotti’s teamsheet in an easy group. The value is hard to ignore!
