Why Taylor Hall isn’t ready to celebrate Hurricanes’ success just yet
The Carolina Hurricanes have advanced to the Eastern Conference Finals after defeating the Philadelphia Flyers in overtime of Game 4. Jackson Blake was able to rip a shot past the goalie for his second goal of the game, and the Hurricanes remain undefeated in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
They’re making it look easy every game, but Taylor Hall knows that the job isn’t done, and they still have a long way to go to reach their goal. Hall spoke about what he liked about the team in their Game 4 win.
“Just the way we fought and battled,” Hall said via Sportsnet. “I know it seems like it’s coming to us pretty easy, but it’s not. Our PK’s been amazing. Freddy [Andersen] has been dynamite. We haven’t had the games that we wanted, but we’ve always gotten to our game as the game goes on. Lots to be proud of, but we’re only halfway there.”

For Hall, he’s happy to be playing hockey at this time of the year, and it’s what he envisioned when he first joined the team.
“It’s awesome, it’s so fun. You don’t have to get yourself up for anything, and that’s a great spot for me personally,” Hall said. “We know how we have to play, and we play this way all season long, so it’s not anything that has to change. If anything, the details are just sharper. It’s so much fun playing at this time of the year.”
For now, the Hurricanes will wait to face either the Montreal Canadiens or Buffalo Sabres in the next round.
