The Hammers come into the clash chasing a third straight win after back-to-back victories against QPR and Tottenham.
Last weekend’s London derby success at Spurs lifted West Ham to within five points of safety, although results elsewhere in the bottom five offered little assistance to Nuno Espirito Santo’s sides push for survival, with none of the bottom six losing.
Despite that win, West Ham remain 18th in the table, but they will be eager to further reduce the gap to Nottingham Forest as they look to climb out of the relegation zone.
Home form has been a major concern for the east London outfit this season, with no side losing more league games on home soil in the Premier League.
However, the Irons did claim a confidence-boosting victory in their most recent outing at the London Stadium, overcoming QPR in the FA Cup a fortnight ago.

Sunderland, meanwhile, make the trip south in encouraging form, having suffered just one defeat in their last seven matches across all competitions.
While Regis Le Bris’ side have managed only one win in their previous six Premier League games, drawing four of those, they do arrive off the back of successive victories when factoring in their FA Cup penalty shoot-out triumph over Everton.
A home win against Crystal Palace last weekend continued Sunderland’s impressive return to the top flight, leaving them ninth in the standings and just three points adrift of fourth-placed Liverpool.
The Black Cats also boast an impressive home record, with only Sunderland and runaway leaders Arsenal yet to lose a Premier League game on their own patch this season.
These two sides last met on the opening day of the campaign, when Sunderland cruised to a 3-0 victory, a result West Ham will be keen to avenge.
However, the visitors have struggled in this fixture in recent years, losing their last three away matches against the Hammers and failing to record a league win over the east London side for 15 years.
Despite sitting in the relegation zone, West Ham head into Saturday’s showdown as favourites, even with Sunderland having claimed victories in each of their last two matches against Premier League opposition.
