We have previewed five of the games taking place on Saturday and Sunday, including a crunch clash at Stamford Bridge.

Aston Villa are three points off top spot in the Premier League after they maintained their remarkable form last time out.

A 2-1 victory over Manchester United on Sunday means Villa have now won 11 of their last 12 top-flight games to put pressure on Arsenal and Manchester City.

That run is bound to come to an end at some point, though, and there is a decent chance Chelsea will become only the second team to inflict defeat on Villa since August.

The Blues dug deep to come from 2-0 down to take a point against Newcastle United last weekend. They are an inconsistent team, but at their best Enzo Maresca’s men are a match for anyone in the division.

Chelsea’s home form is patchy, but they tend to raise their game in crunch clashes like this one. Maresca’s side can make a statement here.

Sunderland vs Leeds United: Sunderland to win (8/5)

Both these promoted clubs are full of festive cheer ahead of their meeting on Saturday.

Sunderland have been flying high since the start of the campaign. A battling 0-0 draw with Brighton & Hove Albion last weekend meant the Black Cats spent Christmas Day in the top six for the first time since 2010/11.

Leeds United are not doing quite as well, but their situation has improved markedly in recent weeks.

Daniel Farke’s team are on a four-game unbeaten run in December, with last Saturday’s 4-1 victory over Crystal Palace extending their advantage over the bottom three.

The Whites have momentum behind them and they will be facing a Sunderland side missing some key players due to the Africa Cup of Nations.

However, Regis Le Bris’s team have an excellent record at the Stadium of Light. Only three sides in the league have collected more points on home turf, which is why we are backing Sunderland in this one.

Burnley vs Everton: Under 2.5 goals (4/6)

A late Armando Broja header earned Burnley a crucial point against Bournemouth last time out.

That draw on the south coast ended a seven-game losing streak for Scott Parker’s side, who nevertheless remain in trouble.

Whereas Wolverhampton Wanderers are cut adrift at the foot of the table, Burnley’s situation is still salvageable.

However, they will not want to fall too much further adrift of the teams above the dreaded dotted line.

This match feels like a must-win for Burnley, not least because Everton remain without some key men such as Idrissa Gueye, Iliman Ndiaye and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.

Burnley are the fourth-lowest scorers in the division, while Everton are the third-lowest. This is unlikely to be a classic.

Liverpool vs Wolves: Liverpool to score in both halves (8/11)

Liverpool have won three games in a row in all competitions to stop the rot, but their performances remain largely unconvincing.

That was certainly the case against Tottenham Hotspur last time out. Liverpool received a boost when Xavi Simons was sent off in the 33rd minute, and they proceeded to score twice in the second half.

Yet Liverpool wobbled late on, even after Spurs went down to nine men following Cristian Romero’s red card.

The score was 2-1 at that point and Tottenham continued to threaten even with a two-player disadvantage. The attack has improved, but Liverpool’s defensive structure still does not look right.

That is unlikely to be much of an issue against this hapless Wolves side. Rob Edwards has yet to pick up a point in his new role, and the chances of him doing so at Anfield are slim.

Even without Mohamed Salah and Alexander Isak, Liverpool should prove too strong for Wolves in the final third.

Brentford vs Bournemouth: Brentford to score first (4/5)

Bournemouth were second in the standings at the beginning of November, but not much has gone right for them since then.

Andoni Iraola’s side have failed to emerge victorious in any of their eight matches since the start of last month, with last weekend’s 1-1 draw with Burnley a particular disappointment.

A win will be the aim against Brentford on Saturday, although their opponents will feel the same way.

The Bees beat Wolves 2-0 before Christmas to pull further clear of the bottom three, with the gap now a healthy 10 points.

Keith Andrews’s charges are a tough nut to crack at the Gtech Stadium. Indeed, Brentford have the fifth-best home record in the division.

The west Londoners have opened the scoring in six of their eight home games in 2025/26, and they will aim to be quick out of the blocks here too.

An acca bet is a more popular name for the accumulator bet, where multiple individual selections are combined into one single bet. All odds are multiplied together, however, all bets must succeed in order for the bettor to win the multiplied odds bet.

There are rules to follow. There will need to be a minimum number of legs in your acca, minimum odds, a minimum amount of stake money, a maximum refund, and only one leg of your acca can lose for you to get a refund.

Acca freeze

An acca freeze is the newest of the three acca offers. It is another different variation on the above two, as it gives you flexibility within your acca bet.

Sky Bet offer the acca freeze promotion based on a minimum of five legs. It’s designed to protect you from the late goal that ruins your acca bet – and sometimes, your whole Saturday afternoon.

So for example, you have selected a five team acca and with five minutes to go four of the teams are comfortably winning and won’t be caught. The fifth team is only winning 1-0. The opposition are piling the pressure on, and you just know that this one leg is going to let your bet down.

Let’s call the team winning 1-0, Team A.

Using acca freeze, you have the ability to freeze the score of one leg of your acca. So you use it to freeze Team A at 1-0 up. This means Sky Bet will recognize that result as 1-0 to Team A, no matter what happens in the remainder of the match, even if Team A concedes three goals.

As long as the other four teams hold on and win, your bet is a winner, thanks to acca freeze.

I have already covered what an acca is, so let’s dive into what bet builders are. A Bet Builder is a feature that allows you to combine multiple selections from a single event into one customized bet.

Now, we can move onto the similarities and differences between the acca and bet builders. Both bet builder and acca are bet types that encompass multiple selections with high levels of customization. These bet systems also come with a high risk and a high payout potential.

On the other hand, bettors use multiple selections in both situations, however, Accas include multiple events, while bet builders are used on 1 event for multiple betting markets.
