UFC Rumors: Paddy Pimblett cheekily teases new opponent
Paddy “The Baddy” Pimblett is back, and he’s making sure everyone knows who he’s coming for next.
The fan-favorite British lightweight took to social media to drop a characteristically cheeky clue about his next opponent, posting a video with a baguette in hand, a clear nod to French sensation Benoit Saint-Denis.

The rumored matchup would pit two of Europe’s most explosive lightweights against each other at UFC 329 on July 11 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas during International Fight Week one of the biggest fight cards on the annual calendar.

Pimblett has a lot on the line in this fight. “The Baddy” lost his first UFC fight in January, losing a unanimous decision to Justin Gaethje in an interim lightweight title fight at UFC 324. He refused to back down. Even though he lost, Pimblett has kept talking about wanting to win the title. Fighting Saint-Denis at this point makes it clear that he doesn’t want an easy return.
Saint-Denis, for his part, has been on a tear. The French powerhouse stormed through Beneil Dariush in just 16 seconds at UFC 322 and has established himself as one of the most dangerous lightweights in the division. His relentless pressure, elite grappling, and knockout power make him arguably Pimblett’s toughest test inside the Octagon to date.

It looks like UFC 329 is going to be a huge event. The card is expected to include a long-awaited return of Conor McGregor, Gable Stevenson’s first fight as a pro, and a rematch between Cory Sandhagen and Mario Bautista, in addition to the rumored Pimblett-BSD fight. Only International Fight Week can bring together this many great fighters.
