Thomas Frank told he should have dropped ‘bang average’ Tottenham star weeks ago
Guglielmo Vicario should be dropped by Tottenham Hotspur manager Thomas Frank.
That is the view of talkSPORT co-host and former Spurs midfielder Danny Murphy.

The Italian goalkeeper has started each of his side’s matches in the Premier League and Champions League so far this season.
However, he has kept just seven clean sheets from his 20 appearances, which have seen Vicario concede 27 goals.
He was also booed by his own supporters after a mistake in Saturday’s loss to Fulham which led to a goal.
Although Vicario kept his place in the side for the midweek trip to Fulham, Murphy has called on Frank to make a change.
Speaking on White & Jordan, he admitted: “Very few players have been through their career without having a spell where they’ve had a bit of stick. You’ve got to show some resilience.
“The fact is with Vicario, it wasn’t one bad game. He’s been bad all season. He’s been poor and a manager should take responsibility.
“He should have taken him out of the firing line a month ago. He can’t come for a cross. He’s nervous as a kitten with his feet.
“No wonder the fans are edgy with him. He’s a decent shot stopper, but he should be as a goalie.
“But he should have been pulled out of the firing line six weeks back because he’s been poor, bang average.
“So he’s got to take some responsibility for that, but he shouldn’t have dug the fans out because he’s given himself a big amount to climb.”

The Spurs squad held a crisis meeting following their defeat to Fulham as their winless home run in the league reached six matches.
Frank’s side have not claimed a Premier League victory in front of their own fans since the opening weekend of the season.
However, they were able to respond with a draw against Newcastle on Tuesday, with Cristian Romero scoring a stoppage time equaliser.
The result leaves Spurs 11th in the Premier League ahead of the visit of Brentford on Saturday.
As for Vicario, who joined the club from Empoli in 2023, he still has two-and-a-half years remaining on his deal.
Back-up goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky would likely step in if Frank opted to drop the 29-year-old.

However, the Czech stopper has been limited to just two Carabao Cup appearances so far this season.
Kinsky joined the club in January and kept an impressive clean sheet on his debut against Liverpool.
