Bet of the Day – Partick Thistle to beat Raith Rovers @ 11/8

Raith eased their Scottish Championship relegation fears with a huge 3-1 victory over Airdrie on Saturday, but Rovers could be back in trouble when promotion-chasing Partick Thistle head for Kirkcaldy.

The 3-1 success over the Diamonds was only Raith’s second victory in 11 Scottish second-tier games and Dougie Imrie’s men have failed to even find the net in four of their last five league contests.

Raith trailed Airdrie on Saturday, but two set-play goals turned the tie in favour of Rovers, but Partick should be better equipped to deal with their aerial threat.

Thistle are pushing for promotion and the Jags competed well in a 0-0 draw with league leaders St Johnstone at the weekend.

Mark Wilson’s rock-solid side have lost only one of their last 11 Scottish second-tier games and are playing well enough to take three points at Stark’s Park.

At 11/8, the Jags rate the best bet on Tuesday’s coupon.

Bet Builder – Notts County to win & over 2.5 goals @ 16/5

Notts County are in the thick of a thrilling League Two promotion battle and can land a blow on their top-of-the-table rivals by beating Oldham on Tuesday night.

Martin Paterson’s men have lost only five of their 18 away matches in the fourth tier, and have won 10 of their last 14 games, scoring nine goals in their last two alone.

The Magpies only know one way to play, and that’s on the front foot, with the Magpies scoring 65 goals in 38 League Two matches, a tally only bettered by MK Dons.

All of Notts County’s last five victories have come with at least three goals in the game and that trend can continue at Oldham.

Acca – Boreham Wood to win at Aldershot Town, York City to win at Gateshead, Halifax Town to beat Carlisle United @ 11/2

No National League side has hit more than Boreham Wood’s 41 away league goals this season and the Wood should blast past an Aldershot side, who have lost 10 of their 18 home games.

Promotion-chasing York City have lost only three of their 39 National League matches this season and another three points awaits at Gateshead.

The relegation-threatened Tynesiders have won only three league games at the Gateshead International Stadium, losing 12  so far, and that looks set to become an unlucky 13.

Halifax were excellent when winning 3-0 at Solihull on Saturday, but they have been a tougher nut to crack on home turf, losing just three of their 19 matches, and may have too much for high-flying Carlisle, who have lost six times on the road this season.
