Saturday football betting tips

Bet of the day

Valencia to beat Elche @ 11/10

Just six points separate Elche from Valencia in 18th, but Saturday’s hosts have shown signs of a resurgence of late and could slash that gap in half with a victory at the Mestalla.

After a miserable start to the campaign, Los Che are unbeaten in four home matches and they can take advantage of Elche’s dismal away record.

Los Franjiverdes have picked up just three points on their travels this season and they head to the Mestalla having lost their last five La Liga trips.

Special of the day

Freiburg vs Hamburger – Bet Builder: Freiburg to win, both teams to score & Johan Manzambi and Ransford Konigsdorffer each to have 2+ shots @ 24/5

Freiburg entered the Bundesliga winter break with a thrilling 4-3 win at Wolfsburg, and they can start 2026 in a similar fashion against Hamburger on Saturday.

They are unbeaten since August on home soil and have won nine of their 12 games at Europa-Park Stadion since.

With Hamburger yet to win a Bundesliga away game this season and losing their last four, expect another defeat for the visitors.

That being said, both teams have scored in Hamburger’s last four Bundesliga games and in three of Freiburg’s last four matches, so expect a consolation goal.

One Freiburg player who could make a real difference is Johan Manzambi, who has scored four goals in his last 10 appearances for the club.

These four goals have been scored from a total of 21 shots and, with the Switzerland international registering two or more shots in each of his last six games, he will be full of confidence heading into this tie.

At the opposite end of the pitch, Hamburger’s Ransford Konigsdorffer leads the club’s shot-taking charts with 32 attempts, averaging 2.83 shots per 90 minutes.

His two attempts against Eintracht Frankfurt last time out means he has had two or more shots in eight of his last nine Bundesliga appearances.

Long shot of the day

St Pauli to win and both teams to score vs RB Leipzig @ 6/1

RB Leipzig are favourites to take the points when they head to the Millerntor-Stadion on Saturday, but they entered the winter break having lost two games on the spin and they face a home side unbeaten in their last four matches.

St Pauli have won two of these games, and they may be able to upset the odds against a Leipzig side winless in their last three away fixtures.

Die Roten Bullen have scored in seven of their last eight trips, though, so a clean sheet may be beyond St Pauli.
