Sheffield United win and over 2.5 goals vs West Brom @ 7/2

Sheffield United are back on track after a horror start to the campaign and will head to the Hawthorns full of confidence to take on West Brom having gone six games unbeaten.

Chris Wilder has got his team clicking after returning to Bramall Lane for a third spell back in September and the club are now looking up rather than down. 

Having pulled six points clear of the drop zone, the Blades are now just eight points off the play-off places heading into the festive period.

United had won four straight games before being held by Norwich on Tuesday and face a West Brom side who have lost their last two matches.

Though unbeaten at home in four, the Baggies have actually lost six in 10 and so Sheffield United could come with too much momentum and ease past Ryan Mason’s side.

The Blades have scored 14 goals in five games while West Brom have not kept a clean sheet in seven and so a Sheffield United win and over 2.5 goals could be a smart pick.

Leece and Pisa to draw, RB Leipzing to beat Union Berlin and Angers to beat Nantes @ 11/1

Pisa head to Leece on Friday evening with a great incentive knowing that a win would see them climb out of the Serie A drop zone while leapfrogging their opponents.

However, that’s unlikely as the promoted side have failed to win away from home this season and have managed just a single victory in the top division.

Alberto Gilardino’s side have drawn 2-2 in each of their last three away matches while Leece have won just two games all season so a share of the spoils seems likely.

In Germany, RB Leipzig are second to leaders Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga having won nine of their last 12 league games.

Beating Eintracht Frankfurt 6-0 last time out, Die Roten Bullen now head to a Union Berlin side who have lost three straight matches, winning just once in the last eight. 

Leipzig should win to close the gap on Bayern.

Angers’ clash with Nantes in Ligue 1 rounds off the treble, where the hosts, who have won three in four, are favourites to beat a Canaries side who have picked up just two points out of a possible 18 and will start the day in the drop zone.

Girona to win to nil vs Real Sociedad @ 7/1

Girona, who shocked La Liga to finish third in 2024, are currently sitting in 18th and travel to Real Sociedad on Friday night.

The White and Reds have won twice this season and are yet to enjoy a victory away from home. 

However, Sociedad have stuttered this campaign and, after recovering from a slow start, have lost their last two league games.

Girona, though, have been defeated just twice at Sociedad in six meetings since 2009, drawing four, so could this be the time they finally find a winner? 

Sociedad have already lost to Rayo Vallecano at home this campaign, drew a blank in their last outing and have not kept a clean sheet in nine games.
