talkSPORT betting tips – Best golf debts and expert advice for RBC Heritage tips
After last week’s thrilling Masters, the PGA Tour heads to Harbour Town Golf Links in South Carolina for the fourth Signature Event of the season, the RBC Heritage.
Rory McIlroy has opted to miss this trip to Hilton Head Island following his successful Augusta National defence, but there is still a stacked field led by world number one Scottie Scheffler who will be battling it out for the $3.6million winner’s cheque.
Justin Thomas is back to defend his Heritage crown in this no-cut event, with the American joining 81 others in the field in the Palmetto State.

Theegala to return to the winner’s circle
With last week’s Masters potentially taking plenty out of those who participated in the first Major of the year, it could prove beneficial to look at those who didn’t play in Georgia and one of those is Sahith Theegala.
The disappointment of missing out on a trip to Augusta should spur the 28-year-old on this week and he has produced plenty of positive results this year, with his last outing seeing him finish tied-10th at the Houston Open.
That was the American’s fourth top 10 of the season, adding to his efforts at the Arnold Palmer, Am Express and Farmers Insurance Open, while he has performed well at the RBC Heritage in recent years as he prepares for his fifth crack at Harbour Town.
Finishing in the top five in 2023, Theegala returned 12 months later to finish runner-up to Scheffler by three strokes. This could be the week the world number 73 lands his second PGA Tour title.
Hisatsune to make PGA breakthrough
One player chasing his maiden PGA success is Ryo Hisatsune and he came close to doing that earlier in the season when runner-up at the Farmers Insurance Open.
The Japanese ace has registered three top-10 finishes since that near-miss, the latest of those coming at the Texas Open where he was tied-eighth, and he heads into this event full of confidence.
Hisatsune, who is ninth in strokes gained tee to green and first in greens in regulation, was tied-18th on his Heritage debut last year and he arrives fresh after not playing at the Masters.
Putnam can end trophy drought
Andrew Putnam is another player who was not in action at Augusta and that freshness could see him challenge for a first PGA Tour title since the 2018 Barracuda Championship.
The 37-year-old American had struggled for form since his tied-second at the Farmers Insurance before grabbing a share of fifth at the Texas Open on his last outing.
Putnam recorded his best Heritage finish of tied-18th on his last appearance in 2024 and his ranking of sixth in scrambling should serve him well, with that department proving to be crucial to success at this venue.
