Sri Lanka vs England First T20I LIVE: Ball-by-ball commentary, teams, toss, scorecard and YouTube watchalong
England will begin the second part of their series against Sri Lanka with the opening T20 international this Friday.
Harry Brook‘s men head into the first T20 on a high after coming from behind to win the ODI series 2-1.

Brook starred alongside Joe Root, with both hitting centuries, to secure a crucial victory for England on Tuesday.
It was their first ODI series win overseas since March 2023 and only their second ODI series win of any kind since the start of 2024.
Now, focus turns to the T20 action, as the tourists hope to begin the new series the way they ended the last.
They will also want to build up from much-needed form with the 2026 T20 World Cup starting on February 7.

Sri Lanka vs England First T20I: What has been said?
England captain Brook reviewed their comeback win over Sri Lanka in the ODI series ahead of the T20 series getting started.
He said after winning the third ODI: “It was awesome. Awesome effort from everybody involved.
“Rooty’s just exceptional, to have him in the side helps every day. I thought that was an exceptional performance by the lads.
“It was a lot better pitch than we were expecting. It still had a part to play and just glad that we got a good score and we managed to defend it.
“I was very happy with the way the spinners bowled. They were working in tandem really well, communication was outstanding.
“And the way the lads batted and tried to put the pressure back on the bowlers, even in tough conditions, was awesome from the boys going into the T20s.”
