Spurs’ Victor Wembanyama in danger of suspension after refs’ Zaza Pachulia rule miss
The San Antonio Spurs have been fighting for their championship lives in Game 5, and it’s no surprise that things have gotten physical with the New York Knicks. Both teams have been called for flagrant fouls, but the referees may have missed one on Victor Wembanyama, which would’ve been huge in the entire series.
Jalen Brunson made a 3-pointer, and once he landed, Wembanyama was in his space, which caused him to fall and stay on the floor for a moment. If the refs had called that foul, Wembanyama would’ve been assessed a flagrant and suspended for the next game.
Jalen Brunson was visibly upset after no foul was called on Victor Wembanyama.
If Wemby had been called for a landing-area flagrant, he would’ve been automatically suspended for a potential Game 6.
