Spurs’ Victor Wembanyama admits to fatigue impacting NBA Finals Game 4 collapse
San Antonio Spurs All-Star Victor Wembanyama discussed fatigue after blowing a 29-point lead to the New York Knicks in Game 4’s 107-106 in the NBA Finals. Ahead of Wembanyama facing the daunting task of a 3-1 deficit after the Spurs’ monumental collapse, they’ll return home to San Antonio for Game 5.
Wembanyama addressed fatigue when a reporter asked about it ahead of facing the Knicks, per SNY Knicks’ X, formerly Twitter.
“Definitely a factor, but it’s the playoffs. Everybody’s just as tired,” Wembanyama said. “It shouldn’t even be a factor in the game. Now we’ve got two days between games. It’s not gonna be a factor.”
Victor Wembanyama was asked how much of a factor fatigue was for him down the stretch of Game 4:

On the brink of elimination, Wembanyama and the Spurs will look to pull the series to 3-2 when they host the Knicks for Game 5 on Saturday.
Victor Wembanyama says Spurs already over Game 4 collapse

All-Star Victor Wembanyama claims the Spurs have moved on from Game 4’s historic loss to the Knicks, breaking the record for the largest comeback in NBA playoff history. Still, Wembanyama says the Spurs remain confident.
While it isn’t an easy loss to move on from, Wembanyama is confident that the Spurs are ready to turn the page and continue their quest for a title.
“I mean you said all of it… We’re very confident, but yet again, I wouldn’t say it was so hard to like shake off, right? But harder than any other game before, by far for sure, but now we’re over it,” Wembanyama said. “It’s the playoffs. There’s no time to regret things for too long.”
Wembanyama and the Spurs hope to force a Game 6.
