Shedeur Sanders teammate breaks silence on blazing touchline row as Browns QB addresses ‘trust’ issue
Jerry Jeudy has spoken out on his heated touchline exchange with Shedeur Sanders.
The Cleveland Browns pair could be seen getting into an animated discussion over some film they were watching on a tablet during their 26-8 defeat to the San Francisco 49ers.

The wide receiver finished the contest with three receptions and 26 yards from four targets, with the fifth-round rookie quarterback completing 16-of-25 passing for 149 yards and a touchdown.
During Browns media availability on Wednesday, Jeudy was asked what the disagreement was about – it was about one particular play – and whether he and Sanders had resolved the issue.
“We spoke about it. We good,” Jeudy said. “It was about a play. This is an emotional sport. Things like that happen in football.”
Whilst the former first-round pick didn’t regret expressing his frustration, he did wish he had done it in a more private setting, instead of running the risk of it being picked up by the television broadcast.
“What I would have done different is I probably would have just talked to him off camera,” he said. “That’s probably what I would have done different.
“Of course, I’m going to speak my mind and say what I see out there. It’s football. Me and Shedeur are good. Stuff like that happens.
“Y’all [the media] are going to make it different from what it is, because you’re the media. That’s what you all feed off — negativity.
“We move on from it. I live in real life. What happens in this locker room, this real. Not what’s going on with social media.”
Sanders speaks on importance of ‘building trust’ with his teammates
Sanders – who was playing in just his second ever NFL start against the 49ers on Sunday after breaking a franchise record in his first start – was also unwilling to discuss the incident further.
Instead, the 23-year-old spoke of the importance of building trust with his teammates in order for him to be comfortable and complete plays.

“We resolved that. We’re not going to speak on that,” Sanders said. “Just being able to get on the same page and trust. The hardest thing in this game and right now is having trust, having trust in everybody.
“Certain movements, certain way we make eye contact, like certain things is so detailed and that’s how I play very comfortably. So that’s how I get in my comfort zone. That’s how I get in my bag, that’s how I’m able to do that.”
The Browns quarterback also spoke of how important it is to not let frustration build up, and to instead trust that the work going on behind the scenes will come to fruition on game day.
“You can’t let frustration build up and cause a lot of negativity,” Sanders added. “The only way you can handle the frustration is by trusting the process and keep doing what you’ve been doing each and every week.”
Shortly after the game against the Niners, head coach Kevin Stefanski – who has been criticized for his play-calling on offense of late – revealed that Sanders had earned his third successive start, with their next challenge coming against the 1-11 Tennessee Titans.
Having already edged out fellow rookie Dillon Gabriel for the starting job – with the two being involved in an awkward exchange on Sunday after the former Oregon QB had to come in for a play – Sanders will now get to showcase what he can do against another rookie in No. 1 overall pick, Cam Ward.
Should he outperform the Titans quarterback, this may add more fuel to the fire that Sanders should have been taken far earlier on in the draft.
That, of course, remains to be seen.
