Sebastian Fundora vs Keith Thurman: Date, start time, undercard and where to watch world title clash

Sebastian Fundora is set to defend his WBC super welterweight title for a third time this weekend against Keith Thurman.

‘The Towering Inferno’ picked up the green and gold strap in a bloody split decision win over Tim Tszyu in March 2024, simultaneously scooping the WBO belt in the process.

Fundora (23-1-1) retained both titles with a four-round demolition of Chordale Booker last March, but was subsequently stripped of the WBO title after opting to rematch Tszyu in lieu of an ordered mandatory defence against Xander Zayas.

The second time around, Fundora took the fight out of the hands of the judges as he retired a battered and bruised Tszyu on his stool at the end of the seventh round.

His fine display has been rewarded with a lucrative fight against Thurman, who had been due to box Tszyu before Fundora stepped in when ‘One Time’ withdrew with a torn bicep.

Former unified welterweight titlist Thurman is looking to join an elite group of two-weight world champions after a successful debut at 154lbs in March 2025.

The 37-year-old dispatched Australia’s Brock Jarvis inside three rounds last March in his first fight in just over three years.

How to watch/start time

Fundora and Thurman collide at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Saturday, March 28.

However, due to the time difference, UK fans will have to tune into the fight in the early hours of Sunday morning to watch it live.

The main card is set to start at 5pm local Pacific Time (1am UK), with the main event ring walks expected at 8pm PT (4am UK).

All of the action can be streamed via Prime Video PPV.

US fans will have to fork out $74.99 to watch the Premier Boxing Champions event, while UK fans can expect to pay £14.99.
