Premier League Darts stars warned about Luke Littler ‘storm’
Luke Littler’s Premier League struggles will not last long, according to a former world champion.
The world No.1 has yet to reach a nightly final after four weeks of this year’s tournament.

Meanwhile, Littler has accumulated just four points from two semi-final appearances to leave him seventh in the standings.
Only Josh Rock, who is yet to win a match, is below him in the league stage table.
However, Littler has only picked up one victory himself after receiving a walkover in Glasgow during week three.
The 19-year-old advanced directly to the nightly semi-final following Michael van Gerwen’s withdrawal.
His woes come after a staggering first two Premier League campaigns.
Littler has topped the standings in each of the last two years and won the title on his debut in 2024.
Littler warning for rivals
Rob Cross believes his Premier League rivals should be wary of a resurgence from the teenager during the remaining 12 weeks.
Despite his slow start, Littler could find himself in the top four by the end of Thursday’s action in Cardiff.
Speaking to Oche180, Cross revealed his surprise at Littler and world No.2 Luke Humphries’ recent results.
Voltage explained: “I don’t think anyone had it on their bingo card that Luke Littler and Luke Humphries would be in the bottom three after a month of the Premier League.

“They’ve not even had a final each and that is almost unthinkable considering they’ve dominated the sport for three years.
“But it won’t last, that’s for sure. The Littler storm is coming. You could see the frustration in his face after losing to Jonny Clayton in Belfast.
“He got some stick from the crowd which is a shame but that won’t bother him. That boy is made of stern stuff.”
Away from the Premier League, Littler has already tasted success in 2026.
Either side of winning the first PDC major of the year at the World Masters, he claimed victory at both the Saudi Arabia Darts Masters and Poland Darts Open.
Cross continued: “It will annoy him that it’s not clicked yet in the Premier League.

“There’s definitely nothing wrong with his form. He was incredible at the Poland Darts Open a week ago.
“But the short format at the Premier League doesn’t allow him to get into his stride. He can be a slow starter and there’s no room for error against the biggest names in the sport.
“That’s never been an issue before, in his two previous Premier Leagues he’s won it and finished second.
“I still expect him to go all the way to the final. The truth is that he only needs to make it into the top four to reach the play-offs at the O2 in late May.
“A couple of night wins and he’ll be in the top four. With Luke he’ll likely be enjoying some people writing him off. Then he’ll come roaring back, lift the trophy and tell them all again ‘you’re not doubting me now’ just like he did two years ago.”
Littler faces Rock in the quarter-finals in Cardiff on Thursday night.

He could end the night bottom of the standings if he loses and Rock goes on to claim a nightly victory.
Since making his debut in 2024, Littler has picked up 11 nightly wins including a record six last year.
Meanwhile, he has topped the league stage standings in each of the last two years.
Having claimed the title on debut, he was beaten in the 2025 final by Humphries in May.
