NFL fans slam Greg Olsen’s Rams bias and mute Fox broadcast of Panthers clash

You can’t please everyone.

In Saturday’s NFC playoff opener at Bank of America Stadium between the Los Angeles Rams and Carolina Panthers, FOX’s Joe Davis and Greg Olsen were on the call.

Olsen has earned praise for his clear analysis and ability to break the game down in a digestible way during his young broadcasting career, but as the postseason began, some fans grew frustrated, accusing the former Panther of showing bias.

But not in the direction one would think.

Olsen faced criticism from fans who accused him of showing heavy favoritism towards the Rams.

One Seahawks writer reportedly muted the broadcast after just 15 minutes, while others questioned Olsen’s ties to the Panthers.

Even with an Emmy-winning career and his place as Carolina’s third all-time leading receiver with 6,463 yards, some viewers teased that Olsen sounded like a Rams supporter.

“Well, I made it 15 mins before I had to mute Rams #1 fan Greg Olsen on the broadcast. His glazing is unrelenting,” one fan posted on X.

“I’m convinced Greg Olsen gets paid by the word. Guy never shuts up,” another fan commented.

“I don’t usually like the “these announcers are biased” discussions because they usually start from salty fans, but Greg Olsen is glazing the Rams,” one more fan chimed in.

However, there were plenty of fans who still commended his insightful football analysis and praised his talent in front of the camera.

“Broken record but Greg Olsen is so damn good. Just says all the right things that no other analyst talks about. Ie throwing on early downs and Carolina needing to embrace variance by going for it when possible,” one fan pointed out on X.

“Greg Olsen is so well-researched going into the game. That means something to me,” another fan commented.

The moral of the story: you can’t please everyone.
