Slot hit the ground running in Merseyside after being announced as Jurgen Klopp’s in the summer of 2024, the Dutchman winning the Premier League title by 10 points in his first season in charge, just the club’s second league title in 35 years.

However, the defending Premier League champions, who started the season well, winning their opening their opening five games to open up a five point lead at the top of the table, have since won just two of their last 10 matches in the league, including one of their last five.

Saturday evening saw the Reds give up a 2-0 lead to be pegged back to 2-2, before leading again and conceding a 96th minute equaliser against a Leeds side who started the game just two points above the relegation zone.

The two points dropped has seen Liverpool drop into ninth place in the Premier League table, and will drop down to 10th tonight if Manchester United get at least a point from their trip to Molineux to take on a bottom of the table Wolves side.

Next Premier League manager to go odds (talkSPORT BET)

  • Arne Slot – 4/6
  • Daniel Farke – 7/2
  • Scott Parker – 4/1
  • Thomas Frank – 12/1
  • Ruben Amorim – 16/1
  • Marco Silva – 16/1
  • 20/1 BAR

Daniel Farke had previously been favourite to be the next Premier League manager to leave after the club, but picking up four points from their last two matches against Chelsea and Liverpool has slightly eased the pressure on the German.

The German became Leeds manager in the summer of 2023 following the club’s relegation from the Premier League, achieving promotion back to the top flight at the second time of asking, racking up a century of points last season after losing the play-off final in his first campaign.

The 49-year-old had lost six of their last seven matches prior to Wednesday night’s notable win over Chelsea, which lifted the Yorkshire side out of the relegation zone and currently find themselves two points above the drop.

Scott Parker is priced as the third favourite to be the next Premier League manager out of a job, currently at 4/1 after his newly promoted Burnley side fell to a sixth consecutive defeat on Saturday afternoon after being beaten at St James’ Park.

The Clarets remain in 19th in the Premier League table and five points from safety heading into the festive period.
