Nets’ Michael Porter Jr. resting vs. Bulls right after hitting game-winner against them

The Brooklyn Nets just took care of the Chicago Bulls in their previous game, and it was thanks to Michael Porter Jr. after he hit the winning shot. The Nets have another chance at defeating the Bulls, but this time, they won’t be with Porter as he’s been ruled out due to rest.

Porter is by far the Nets’ best player this season, but has missed a few games since the start of the calendar year, and many people think that the team is trying their best to tank. They have one of the worst records in the league, and if Porter continues to play at a high level, all they’re going to do is keep winning.

The Nets may also be trying to keep Porter fresh because he could possibly be on the trade market, as teams seem to be calling about him.

One of the more recent teams to be interested in Porter is the Milwaukee Bucks, who have been looking for some scoring help alongside Giannis Antetokounmpo. The Nets are going to be looking for young players and assets, and at this point, the Bucks can only offer one of those things. Unfortunately, they don’t have many draft picks after trying to improve the team over the past few seasons, and if anything, they’re the team that needs assets as badly as anyone else.

The Golden State Warriors are another team that seems to be interested in Porter, and with Jonathan Kuminga asking for a trade, they may be able to make something happen.

At the same time, the Nets may be willing to stand pat on trading Porter, and if they’re looking to be competitive in the near future, he could be a big piece of the core. There’s only so much rebuilding you can do, and the Nets don’t want to be stuck at the bottom forever.
