Marvin Harrison Jr. injury: What status means for Week 13 vs. Buccaneers

The 4-7 Arizona Cardinals hit the road to take on the 6-5 Tampa Bay Buccaneers as 2.5-point road underdogs this Sunday. The Cardinals would need a miracle to get into the playoffs at this point, but they haven’t been eliminated just yet! The Bucs lead the NFC South, but they need to get moving after losing four of their last five.

The Cardinals Marvin Harrison Jr. back this week, but he is listed as questionable at this point.

Marvin Harrison Jr. injury updates

Game day morning update: Marvin Harrison, Jr. is expected to play on Sunday in spite of his questionable tag, per Ian Rapoport and Adam Schefter.

The Cardinals 2024 first round pick, Marvin Harrison Jr., hasn’t lived up to his billing just yet, but he is a player they need on the field. He has missed the last two games due to an appendectomy. The second-year player was limited in all three practices this week and ended up with the questionable tag. The good news is that multiple beat reporters believe he has a good chance to play this week.

Fantasy football analysis

If Harrison Jr. does play, there is a chance he could be behind WR Michael Wilson, who caught 23 passes for 303 yards in the two games Harrison Jr. missed. That doesn’t mean you can’t start him in fantasy, it just means there will be plenty of target competition between Wilson, Harrison Jr. and Trey McBride.

Thankfully Jacoby Brissett is playing well and throwing the ball a ton in the place of Kyler Murray. He hasn’t dipped below 44 pass attempts over his last three games and this matchup against the Bucs should lead to a similar pass game script. I’d start all three in this matchup if Harrison Jr. plays.
