Liverpool make first step to replace Andy Robertson as club legend pushes for Tottenham Hotspur transfer
Liverpool are looking to bring Konstantinos Tsimikas back from his loan at Roma, talkSPORT understands.
The move would allow Andy Robertson to join Tottenham Hotspur – a switch the left-back is keen to make.

Tsimikas joined Roma on a season-long loan in August after the Reds swooped to sign Milos Kerkez in the summer.
The Greek defender has since made 16 appearances across all competitions for the Serie A outfit.
Meanwhile, he featured 18 times in the Premier League last term as Liverpool won their 20th league title.
Tsimikas could now be set for an early return to Merseyside, with Robertson’s potential exit leaving Arne Slot short of left-back options.
Spurs are in talks over a deal to sign the Scotland captain this month.
Discussions have been advancing between the two clubs in a bid to reach an agreement before the transfer window closes.
The north London club’s interest follows an injury to Ben Davies, who has fractured his ankle.
Meanwhile, Robertson is out of contract at Anfield in the summer with a new deal yet to be agreed.
His playing opportunities have been reduced this season following the arrival of Kerkez from Bournemouth.
The 31-year-old has made 13 Premier League appearances this term, although just four of those have been starts.

A move would end Robertson’s eight-and-a-half-year stay with the Reds.
Since joining the club from Hull in 2017, he has made 363 appearances and won nine trophies.
Those pieces of silverware include two league titles as well as both the Champions League and Club World Cup.
Robertson on his Liverpool future
Robertson addressed his Liverpool future earlier this month after entering the final six months of his deal.
Discussing his contract situation, he told the BBC: “I’ve given absolutely everything for the club for the last eight and a half years and the club have been very good to me.
“They’ve rewarded me with good contracts when I have been playing well. Nobody can deny what I have given to this club.

“I’ve given everything day in and day out and put in some performances which I think have been good, and I hope others agree, I’ve won a lot of trophies and had a lot of good days here.
“My relationship with the people higher up in the club has always been excellent since the day I came in.
“Signing me for £8million and then doing what I have done helps that, which I remind people of all the time.
“The relationship is good and it’s not quite, ‘What do they need to show me and what do I need to show them,’ as we’ve shown each other more than enough respect over the last eight-and-a-half-years. We’ll see what comes.”
