Leeds v Arsenal prediction
Arsenal will be looking to get back to winning ways in the Premier League on Saturday after suffering their first home defeat of the season last weekend as they were defeated by Manchester United.
That loss saw Mikel Arteta’s side’s lead at the top of the Premier League table get cut from seven points to four, a margin they will be looking to extend on Saturday with a positive result against a strong Leeds side.
The Gunners did manage to return to winning ways in the Champions League on Wednesday night, a much-changed side securing a 3-2 win over Kazakh side Kairat to become the first team to win eight group games out of eight in the league phase and secure a first place finish.
Arsenal make the trip to Yorkshire have won six of their last seven matches away from home in all competitions, though Leeds have lost just one of their last 11 in preparation for the visit of the league leaders.
Leeds’ recent run has seen Daniel Farke’s side climb out of the relegation zone, and currently sit 16th in the Premier League table, six points clear of the bottom three, while victory on Saturday could lift them ahead of both Tottenham and Crystal Palace in the table.
The Whites have won three of their last five matches at Elland Road, only dropping points in draws against Liverpool and Manchester United.
Arsenal have won each of their last seven matches against Leeds, who haven’t got the better of the Gunners since 2003, 16 meetings ago.
The London side have scored nine goals against Leeds in their last two meetings, including a 5-0 win earlier this season, the Gunners should be expected to return to the capital with all three points on Saturday, I’m predicting a 3-1 away win.
