Leeds United fan dies after medical emergency ahead of Manchester United game as club issues statement
Leeds United have announced that a supporter has tragically passed away after a medical emergency at Elland Road.
Before kick-off in the 1-1 Premier League draw against Manchester United, a fan was taken ill.

Leeds later released a statement that revealed the sad news.
“Leeds United are devastated to confirm that a supporter sadly passed away ahead of our Premier League fixture with Manchester United at Elland Road, following a medical emergency in the ground before kick-off,” the Premier League club said.
“The thoughts of everyone at Leeds United are with the family and friends of the supporter at this exceptionally difficult time.”
Leeds took the lead just after the hour mark thanks to a low finish form Brenden Aaronson.
However, Matheus Cunha equalised for United just moments later as he managed to get the ball under opposition goalkeeper Lucas Perri.
