IPL 2026: Video of the Day: Sanju Samson pulls off lightning-fast stumping to pack up Heinrich Klaasen at Chepauk
Chennai Super Kings wicketkeeper Sanju Samson produced a brilliant piece of glove work to dismiss Heinrich Klaasen during the IPL 2026 clash against Sunrisers Hyderabad on May 18 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium.
After CSK posted a competitive total of 180 runs, SRH were cruising comfortably in the chase before Noor Ahmad provided the breakthrough in the 15th over. Bowling the third delivery of the over, Noor fired in a well-disguised googly from over the wicket. Klaasen attempted to create room and play an inside-out shot through the off-side, but the ball spun away sharply and beat the outside edge of the bat.
As Klaasen lost balance during the shot, his back foot momentarily dragged outside the crease. Samson reacted instantly behind the stumps and completed a sharp stumping before the batter could ground his foot back inside. Klaasen departed after a crucial knock of 47 runs.
Completely 𝙨𝙩𝙪𝙢𝙥𝙚𝙙 by that sheer speed! 🥶
A wicketkeeping masterclass from Sanju Samson 🔥
