The former talkSPORT Breakfast host suddenly fell forward as Wright and fellow pundit Anita Asante were talking pre-match.

They had to catch Woods as she dropped, to prevent her from falling to the ground completely at St. Mary’s Stadium.

Following the concerning incident, the 38-year-old posted on social media to confirm she was doing okay.

She wrote on her Instagram story: “Gosh that was a bit weird. Sorry to worry everyone, I’m ok, the wonderful paramedics at Saints have said it’s probably a virus, just need a bit of rest and hydration.

“I’m really embarrassed that happened on TV, but a big thank you to my colleagues at ITV who have really looked after me tonight. And to Wright and Neets for catching me, and sorry again x.”

It was a relief for fans to hear to positive update on Woods’ health and now Wright has given another bit of good news.

The Arsenal icon discussed Woods’ collapse on the latest episode of The Overlap, with Gary Neville, Roy Keane, Jamie Carragher and Jill Scott.

“Yeah, she’s fine,” he revealed when asked about Woods by Carragher in the podcast recorded on Wednesday.

“I got a message from her this morning, she’s fine yeah. It was worrying last night…people were really nice.”

Scott then said: “She put a message around saying they think she has a virus, bless her. Must be horrible when that happens on TV.”

Before Wright finished: “I’m glad she’s okay.”

Keane also got himself involved in the chat, bringing some risky comedic value to the concerning moment.

The Manchester United legend joked: “Not the first woman to fall into your arms Ian?”

Wright chuckled in response before saying: “I can’t do anything around this guy!”

Keane, of course, clarified: “Once she’s good, that’s all that matters.”

But he managed to finish on a laugh again, saying: “You’ll get a knighthood…you’ll get an award.”

Woods’ worrying collapse

As mentioned, Wright and Asante were forced into catching Woods after she shockingly collapsed live on air.

The trio were hosting ITV’s coverage of England vs Ghana.

Woods was previewing the game, throwing some questions at the two pundits before things took a turn.

As cameras focused on Wright and Asante, Woods stumbled forward and into them, with TV coverage then cutting away.

Fans became instantly concerned for her health, especially when she was then taken off air and replaced by Katie Shanahan.

Fortunately, it appears she is now okay, as she confirmed that the collapse was likely caused by a virus.
