‘I felt a draught’ – Jarrell Miller reveals what’s left on his head days after hair punched off live on talkSPORT
Jarrell Miller showed off what he believed was ‘new growth’ on the top of his head, only to be instantly shut down by Andy Goldstein.
The follically-challenged heavyweight generated headlines when, in the second round of his bout against Kingsley Ibeh, his hairpiece was knocked loose.

Fight fans inside Madison Square Garden and watching on from elsewhere couldn’t believe the scenes that unfolded in front them as Miller’s toupee flapped and revealed his bald scalp underneath.
But Miller played up to the moment and, during the break between the second and third round, ripped off the rug and tossed it into the crowd, where it landed by the feet of fellow heavyweight Fabio Wardley.
Speaking exclusively on talkSPORT Drive, Miller lifted the lid on the ‘hilarious’ moment he realised what had just transpired.
Inside Miller’s hairy mid-fight moment
“It was a funny moment,” Miller said.
“Like I said, I wasn’t sure if it was coming off. But I just felt a draught, like A/C (air conditioning) hitting my scalp.
“I’m like, ‘Holy crap, did this thing come off?’ But I wasn’t sure, because I can’t see the top of my head.
“It wasn’t until I sat down and my coach was giving me instructions. He was stuttering too much, he could not pay attention.
“I’m looking at the jumbotron and sure enough, the minute I look at the jumbotron, my hair is flapping and the crowd is going crazy.
“I’m like, ‘You know what, let’s run with it, WWE-style.’ So I stood up, tore it over my head and threw it into the crowd and got back to work.
“The last thing my trainer said I was getting my a** whooped, so I was like, ‘I’m getting my butt whooped and I’m losing my head, we can’t do that.’ So I knuckled down and got back into the fight.”

Miller went on to win the fight via split decision, as two judges awarded him the fight 97-93 while the other felt Ibeh won 96-94.
Despite the victory, which improved his record to 27-1, all the post-fight rage was centred around his hair.
Starting from scratch?
And ‘Big Baby’ was confident he had already made some progress up top in the hours following the bout.
Unfortunately Drive co-host Goldstein wasn’t willing to inflate his ego.
During his appearance on Drive, Miller removed his hat and showed off his bald head but claimed: “You guys can see a little bit of growth, a little new growth that’s coming in.”
Goldstein bluntly replied: “I’ll be honest, I can’t.”

Despite the ordeal, Miller described it as a ‘blessing in disguise’ given a number of hair-related companies, including Manscaped, got in touch with the heavy-hitting American regarding potential sponsorship opportunities.
Toupee terror
But one individual Miller may not want to partner with again is his cousin’s barber, given he was the one in charge of ensuring the toupee wouldn’t budge.
“My cousin’s barber, the first time I went to him, he re-assured me that he would double-reinforce, it was going to be super-stuck to my head,” Miller said.
“He taped it, then he tape-rolled this glue on top, he put it on and he dried it with a blow-dryer.
“He pulled it and it couldn’t move, so I was like, ‘We’ll be alright.’
“I didn’t think this guy was going to hit that hard. Boy, was I sadly mistaken.”
