Heartbroken Steph Curry in visible shock as Warriors star suffers gruesome injury
The Golden State Warriors won in overtime on Tuesday night, but it came at a cost.
With 1:09 remaining in overtime, Warriors star Moses Moody stole the ball from rookie Cooper Flagg as the Dubs led the Dallas Mavericks by a score of 136-131.

However, as he went up for a game-clinching dunk, the fifth-year forward’s left knee crumbled beneath him as he attempted to elevate for the hoop.
Steph Curry in visibly shock at Moses Moody’s gruesome knee injury
The American Airlines Center crowd fell into a deafening silence as the non-contact injury left teammates, coaches and a sidelined Stephen Curry in a state of visible shock.
Curry himself hasn’t played since January 30 as he deals with patella-femoral pain syndrome and bone bruising in the knee.
He was sitting on the sidelines in street clothes during the game, and cameras captured him with his hands on his head, frozen in disbelief, in the aftermath of Moody’s injury.
Warriors head coach Steve Kerr was on the floor trying to console Moody who was clearly in extreme pain.
He was soon stretchered off the floor after the Golden State medical staff attended to his knee.
The Warriors were able to hold on for just their second-win in the past 10 games, holding the Mavericks scoreless for the remaining time left on the clock.
The win moved Golden State to a 34-38 record, but it was completely overshadowed by Moody’s injury.
Mavericks forward Flagg had a game-high 32 points as Dallas moved to 23-49 for the season following the loss.
They had rallied from an 11-point, fourth-quarter deficit to have the final shot in regulation, but Naji Marshall couldn’t find the basket on a 25-footer.

Moody had just returned from a 10-game absence following a wrist injury and was leading the Warriors with 23 points in his highly-anticipated return.
Steph Curry stayed with Moody through evaluation
Before Moody was wheeled out of the arena, Warriors teammate Draymond Green hugged him in a move that clearly displayed the emotional toll the injury took on the team.
After the game, Curry was seen sitting outside the Mavericks’ medical evaluation room as he waited on Moody.
Soon after it was confirmed Moody was out of the X-Ray room with a brace around his knee and was reportedly walking.
The Warriors were not able to provide an official update on his status, but speaking after the game, head coach Steve Kerr expressed his concern.
“I saw his leg buckle and saw him go down in a heap of pain,” Kerr told reporters.
“We don’t know what it is, but it sure looks bad, and it’s just hoping for the best.

“You know, whatever the best case scenario is that we’re all hoping for, but it looked bad.
“He was brilliant, by the way, played so well defensively, changed the game for us or, you know, with his ball pressure and knocked down big shots.
“So great to finally have him back, you know, after he missed 10 games, and then for that to happen.
“Like I said, we’re just praying that it’s not too serious, but it sure looked serious.”
