Harry Kane shatters goal record and races clear of Kylian Mbappe with century landmark

Harry Kane may only be halfway through his third Bundesliga season, but has already reached 100 goal involvements for Bayern Munich.

The England captain scored their final goal of their 4-0 thrashing of FC Heidenheim on Sunday evening with a composed finish.

Kane scored his 19th Bundesliga goal of the season, and sits 11 clear of second-placed trio Luis Diaz, Jonathan Burkardt and Denis Undav.

It was also a landmark strike for the 32-year-old as he hit a century of goal involvements in the German top flight.

Across 78 appearances, Kane has netted 81 goals and assisted another 19 for his teammates.

The striker is the fastest to reach that mark since the 2004/05 season and has surpassed Arjen Robben, who hit the tally in 119 outings.

Kane also leads the way in Europe as his 100 goal contributions is the most over the past three seasons in the top five leagues.

Only Kylian Mbappe is closest to him on 90 for both Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain.

Sensational season success

Once again, Kane has showcased why he is one of the best strikers in world football with his performances in Bayern colours.

The goal against Heidenheim was his 30th across all competitions so far this season.

Kane is joint-fourth with Anthony Gordon and Gabriel Martinelli on five goals in the Champions League.

He is also the leading scorer in this season’s DFB-Pokal with five in just three appearances.

Kane recently netted his third hat-trick of the season when Bayern smashed Stuttgart 5-0.

His efforts will look set to boost the German giants towards their latest Bundesliga title as they are already nine points clear in first.

Bayern have played their final match of the year and will now head on a winter break over the festive period.

They return on January 11 at home to Wolfsburg, before facing Koln and RB Leipzig.

Their final two Champions League league phase ties against Royale Union Saint-Gilloise and PSV Eindhoven are also scheduled for next month.
