Harry Kane reaches stunning new milestone faster than Cristiano Ronaldo

Harry Kane’s remarkable Bayern Munich career continues as the striker reached 500 career goals quicker than Cristiano Ronaldo.

The England international’s second goal against Werder Bremen in the Bundesliga was the 500th of his senior career.

The game was his 743rd for club and country meaning he’s reached the landmark 12 games quicker than Ronaldo.

The Portuguese superstar hit that figure in 755 games, while Lionel Messi did it faster than both.

The Argentine genius achieved 500 goals in just 632 games as he cemented his status as one of the best players in history.

The England captain opened the scoring against Werder Bremen from the penalty spot to take him to 499.

And three minutes later the striker hit 500 when he received the ball 25 yards from goal and took aim from range.

His shot flew into the back of the net via the inside of the near post.

It was an excellent strike from a man who has made goalscoring look so easy since he broke onto the scene as a youngster at Tottenham Hotspur.

Leon Goretzka added a third in the second half to wrap up the win for Vincent Kompany’s men.

Individual achievements and awards have never been a problem for Kane, it’s just winning team trophies that has caused him a little bit of bother.

However, he ended that curse last season with victory in the Bundesliga with Bayern.

And 2026 could prove to be the biggest year of his career to date.

In the Champions League, the German giants look to be strong contenders to go all the way despite defeat to Arsenal in the League Phase.

And, at the World Cup, Kane will be leading the line for the Three Lions as Thomas Tuchel looks to win England’s first major international honour since the 1966 World Cup.

He should add another Bundesliga title to the one from last year, and now he has hit 500 career goals, he’s looking to beat predecessor Robert Lewandowski’s single-season goal record of 41 strikes.

Kane continues to deliver

As well as this being his 500th career goal, he now has 50 goal contributions for the season in just 39 games.

One of the goals to get him towards the new landmark had to be from the spot, which was pretty fitting.

It means 100 of Kane’s goals have been penalties, showing just how reliable he is from 12 yards.

He has proved particularly excellent at spot-kicks for Bayern, scoring all 23 he has taken since joining the club.

His brace has Bayern six points clear at the top of the table.

It also has Bayern on a goal difference of +63 as they dominate at the top of the German top-flight.

We are still only in February, but this is shaping up to be quite the year for Kane.
