Harry Kane achieves career first with hat-trick to help Bayern Munich to astonishing Bundesliga records
Harry Kane’s third hat-trick of the season helped Bayern Munich achieve three new Bundesliga records.
The England skipper continued his incredible goalscoring form on Saturday as Bayern swept aside sixth-placed VfB Stuttgart 5-0.

A triple from Kane and goals from Konrad Laimer and Josip Stanisic handed Vincent Kompany’s side a comfortable victory and a provisional 11-point lead at the top of the Bundesliga table.
But there was more reason to celebrate for the reigning champions as they shattered two more records in the process.
Their five-goal haul at the MHP Arena means Bayern have now scored two-plus goals in 21 consecutive Bundesliga matches – a new league record.
And it is the first time in Bundesliga history that a side has scored at least two goals from their opening 13 matches of a campaign.
If that wasn’t enough, Bayern, who have won all four of their Bundesliga games this season when scoring first, have netted a whopping 45 league goals already which is a new record after 13 matchdays.

On a personal level, Kane has enjoyed a prolific 2025 for club and country having banged in his highest career tally in a calendar year.
The former Tottenham Hotspur hitman has scored 58 goals this year, eclipsing his previous best of 56 that he recorded in 2017.
And the striker still has three more opportunities to add to his impressive sum in the upcoming matches with Sporting CP, Mainz and Heidenheim.
Kompany’s side have flexed their muscle this season having dropped just two points all season.
Bayern’s squad has greater depth than last season and that was highlighted by Kompany’s squad selection.

Kane started the match on the bench, making way for Nicolas Jackson to start.
The England skipper was introduced on the hour and took just six minutes to net his first of the afternoon with a superb low drive from 25 yards out.
His second came from the penalty spot eight minutes from time before turning home Michael Olise’s cross with two minutes to play.
Speaking about his late introduction, Kane said: “It’s something I’m not used to, but I did it a couple of times this season. The boss wanted to keep me fresh and save energy.
“I came on after 60 minutes with a couple of other guys and we were able to exploit the space and get the goals.
“We had a tough battle in the cup mid-week and today we faced one of the best teams in the league away, but we looked stronger in the last half an hour and punished them.”

Kane has been in sensational form since moving to Bavaria in August 2023.
The 32-year-old had recorded a staggering ten hat-tricks in just 76 Bundesliga appearances in that time.
That puts him in elite company as far as German football is concerned with only Gerd Muller (32), Robert Lewandowski (16), Klaus Fischer (12) and Jupp Heynckes (11) having scored more hat-tricks in the history of the competition.
