Manchester City head into their first match after Christmas having won each of their last seven in all competitions, leaving them in hugely confident form and find themselves just two points off the top of the Premier League table.

Nottingham Forest had won six of their last eight matches prior to Monday night’s defeat at Fulham, with Sean Dyche seemingly having stamped his authority on the side he inherited from Ange Postecoglou that were languishing in the relegation zone.
