Game 4 Desmond Bane, Jaren Jackson Jr., Ja Morant reunion has Grizzlies fans in their feelings

With the Orlando Magic stunning the whole world by winning two of the first three games in their first-round matchup against the Eastern Conference’s top-seeded team, Detroit Pistons, their huge gamble to bring in Desmond Bane via trade from the Memphis Grizzlies appears to be paying off. This seems to be more so the case now, as the Magic have taken a commanding 3-1 series lead on the back of a 94-88 victory in Game 4 on Monday.

Bane finished with 22 points on 7-18 shooting from the field, but he did make one of the most important shots of the night — a three-pointer off the glass that extended the Magic’s lead to six points late, 92-86, a lead that proved to be insurmountable. It may have helped Bane as well that he had former Grizzlies teammates Ja Morant and Jaren Jackson Jr. cheering on him from the sidelines, with Morant even bringing back a famous celebration earlier in the night.

Grizzlies fans have to be feeling a few mixed emotions after seeing their former core players band together in support of Bane. It definitely has to sting a bit that all three players are now suiting up for different teams, with Jackson now playing for the Utah Jazz after the Grizzlies traded him at the deadline, leaving Morant as the last man standing in Memphis.
