Former UFC and NFL star collapses into corner mid-fight in worrying scenes as doctors stop bout
Greg Hardy collapsed into his corner after an asthma emergency during his latest boxing fight in harrowing scenes.
Hardy, a former NFL defensive end, has turned his hand to combat sports including a ten-fight stint with the UFC.

The 37-year-old has also been fighting in the boxing ring, as well as in the bare-knuckle ranks in recent times.
Some of his outings have been hugely positive including a 2022 victory over Hasim Rahman Jr.
But others have ended in disaster including an outing in Russia against Alexei Papin last year, which saw him left out cold in a brutal highlight-reel KO.
And his latest bout against MMA fighter Evgeny Goncharov didn’t end exactly how he had planned, and brought about his immediate retirement from the sport.

Hardy this time stepped into the ring in a new exhibition on Russian soil, hoping to avoid the same fate.
It was another tough night at the office for the American who was taking some punishing blows in the opening rounds.
But it was the third round where things came to a worrying conclusion with Hardy taking some power punches.
After the high-action period, Hardy looked utterly exhausted and tried to haul himself back to his corner.
But he collapsed on to his stool in a bad bad way, looking extremely ill from the gruelling exchanges.
He was then seen breathless and gasping for air, while then desperately pleading for an inhaler to help ease his symptoms.
Doctors scrambled to his corner to check his health, and he was seriously struggling.
And ultimately they decided to halt the bout in its tracks, with Hardy simply unable to continue.
They were able to stabilise Hardy after the attack was managed, but it was distressing for those ringside.

Hardy has struggled with Asthma ever since his days in the spotlight in the NFL.
Throughout his athletic career, the condition has hampered his abilities to always perform at the top level.
And ultimately it was one step too many for Hardy, who has now likely thrown his last punch in boxing.
