Former champion vomits mid-fight at UFC 326 leaving Joe Rogan stunned
Cody Garbrandt threw up in the final round of his fight against Xiao Long at UFC 326 before securing the win.
Garbrandt, who won the UFC bantamweight title in 2016, fought Long in the final clash of the preliminary card at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

The three-round fight had everything, including low blows and a headbutt, as the American secured a unanimous decision win after three rounds, with all three scorecards reading 28-27.
Garbrandt was stunned early with a perfectly-timed head kick, but dropped Long with a nasty elbow before a clash of heads delayed proceedings.
However, the biggest moment of the fight happened in the third and final round when Garbrandt received a sickening low blow.

The 34-year-old was forced to his hands and knees when his Chinese opponent caught him square on the crotch with a thunderous leg kick.
After a time-out was called, a bucket entered the Octagon as Garbrandt began violently throwing up.
“Wow. I don’t think I’ve ever seen that,” UFC commentator Joe Rogan said as Garbrandt continued being sick.
“I’ve never seen anyone throw up in the Octagon while the fight is going on…
“I’ve never seen a guy throw up in a bucket.”
Garbrandt was allowed as much time as necessary to recover, while Long was deducted a point for the foul and the UFC 326 fight went on.
The Ohio native then came out swinging, filled with aggression, for the final few minutes of the fight, until Long incredibly hit him with another low blow.

“I mean, what are we doing here?” Daniel Cormier uttered from the commentary booth.
Referee Herb Dean told Long he would have to disqualify him if he fouled again, taking another point away from the fighter.
Long instantly went for a flying knee when the fight resumed, but Garbrandt knew he just needed to remain composed in order to get the win.
Much to the displeasure of the UFC commentary booth, Garbrandt was simply moving and biding his time as the clock ticked on, knowing that he was now winning on points.
Long, trying to win the fight, kept pushing on, but the former bantamweight king held his nerve to claim a unanimous decision win.
If it wasn’t for the two points deducted, Long, 27, would’ve no doubt had his arm raised.

But it was Garbrandt who left Sin City with the win — his first since knocking out Brian Kelleher at UFC 296 in December 2023.
