Fans give Michigan HC Dusty May his flowers after topping Dan Hurley’s UConn
Fans didn’t hold back their praise for Dusty May after he led the Michigan Wolverines to the 69-63 win over the UConn Huskies to win the 2026 national championship on Monday night.
May pulled off the accomplishment in just the second year of his stint with the Wolverines. Leading Michigan to its first title since 1989, he stands at the mountaintop of program history as well as the NCAA record books as a national champion.
It didn’t take long for fans to come in droves, praising May for his growth to become of the best coaches in the game. Here are some of their reactions.
