Falcons star Drake London’s hyped reaction to signing massive $141 million extension

Wide receiver Drake London has been a key piece of the Atlanta Falcons’ offense since his arrival in 2022. Now, the franchise ensured he didn’t leave anytime soon with a $141 million contract extension.

Alongside earning a massive bag, London will now have an opportunity to further etch his name into Falcons lore. Once the extension was made official, the wide receiver made his feelings clear.

“RISE UP!!!,” London responded to the report of his new deal on X, formerly Twitter. His post was accompanied by a praying hands emoji.

Over his four years with the Falcons, London has caught 309 passes for 3,961 yards and 22 touchdowns. Injuries limited him to just 12 games in 2025. But he still managed to make 68 grabs for 919 yards and seven touchdowns. London led the team in touchdowns, ranked second in receiving yards and third in receptions.

During the 2025 season, the wide receiver played a full 17-game schedule. Then, London set new career-highs across the board with 100 receptions for 1,271 yards and nine touchdowns. Throughout his new contract extension, the Falcons will be expecting that kind of production.

The biggest question surrounding Atlanta right now is who will play quarterback once Michael Penix Jr is fully healthy. Tua Tagovailoa was brought in in free agency after his run with the Miami Dolphins. Whoever gets the call will have high expectations on their shoulders.

But they’ll also have a premier pass catcher in London to target. With Bijan Robinson and Kyle Pitts as well, the Falcons ensured any quarterback under center has solid targets to work with. Penix, Tagovailoa or any Atlanta quarterback will now be targeting London for the foreseeable future.
