Everton v Nottm Forest prediction
Everton will be buoyed by their return to winning form on Tuesday night, when they became the first team to defeat Bournemouth away in the league this season – an ideal response after suffering a heavy loss at the weekend.
David Moyes’ side were beaten 4-1 at home by Newcastle last Saturday, meaning they have now endured two heavy defeats in their last three matches at the Hill Dickinson Stadium. However, Tuesday’s victory lifted the Toffees back into the top half of the table.
Thanks to the midweek results elsewhere, Everton find themselves in 10th place yet only three points behind fourth-placed Chelsea – a side many still consider genuine title contenders.
The Toffees head into Saturday’s meeting with their former manager having lost just once in their last five games and winning three of their previous four, giving them confidence despite last weekend’s setback.
Nottingham Forest arrive in similarly strong form. They also bounced back from a weekend defeat with a midweek win on Wednesday, meaning they have now claimed four victories from their last five outings.
Sean Dyche’s side earned a 1-0 win at Wolves, leaving Forest with just one defeat in their last seven matches ahead of Dyche’s first return to the blue half of Merseyside since his January departure.
After going winless in their first eight away league games of the season, Forest have now secured back-to-back away victories for the first time since the opening match of 2025, following their midweek success at Molineux.
Forest have won only one of their last six meetings with Everton and have lost three of their previous four against the Toffees. However, they did come out on top in their most recent trip to Goodison Park, earning a 2-0 victory in their final match of 2024.
Two sides in strong form colliding after each getting back to winning ways in midweek make me feel an entertaining affair is on the line with both teams eager to keep their unbeaten runs going, pointing towards what could be a stalemate and a 1-1 draw.
Everton v Nottm Forest betting tips
Hill Dickinson score draw
Both sides have won three of their last four league games and head into the Merseyside match in confident mood.
It seems likely the teams will cancel each other out and be forced to settle for a draw which will keep both teams’ unbeaten runs in tact.
- Draw and both teams to score at 10/3 with Tote
Jesus jubilant
New Nottingham Forest signing Igor Jesus bagged his first Premier League goal on Wednesday night, scoring the only goal of the game against Wolves to lift the club, four points clear of the drop zone.
The Brazilian’s goal takes him to six for the season in all competitions, more than any other player on either team ahead of Saturday’s clash.
- Igor Jesus to score at 5/2 with bet365
Kiernan carded
No player on either team has received more yellow cards this season than Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, who looks set to start in a more defensive role in midfield on Saturday due to the suspensions of Idrissa Gueye and Tim Iroegbunam.
Three of the Everton midfielder’s five cautions have come at home, and with playing a deeper role, could be in line to be more involved in defensive contributions which may lead to fouls and cautions.
- Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall to be carded at 4/1 with Betfred
